Turbo, thanks for the "look-seek" of the 240Z last Saturday. I really hope to be able to scrounge the cash needed for the car this week.

What's your guesstimate on the amount to be spent for the car to be "concourse ready?"

Btw, what is the address of the website that sells Nissan Z parts?

100k will be more than enough!

    Almost all parts are original.

Not sure about the a/t model, but the 240Z is a Japanese classic....

(The newer and less popular model with a 2.8 is called 280Z)

    The 240Z was powered by a 151hp 2.4 liter (L24) SOHC inline-6
0-60mph was in 8.0 sec. Top Speed was 125mph (200km/h)

    Here's a 1971 240Z with the JDM 240ZG's pointed aero-dyna nose...

    240ZG

    Here's the 1969 JDM Fairlady Z 432 (light weight version) with a 160hp(* 7000rpm) 2.0 liter DOHC 24-valve inline-6.
The "432" in the name means "4" valves per cylinder, "3" carbs & "2" overhead cams

actually you are right. that is what confused me about earlier part of the thread. 240z were not 2.8 liters and there was a post by one the members regarding the number of carbs. when i was a kid balancing my dad's 240z in the 70s i recall it had multiple carbs. and that was a challenge for a 9 year old. yet i gave me my taste of oil and petrol. fueling that car thing inside me.
