Guys help naman kung sino may idea on where to find a surplus MAF sensor. Sinubukan ng mekaniko na linisin without touching yung parang pinaka needle pero ganun pa din e. And paki advice ang price range na din if you don`t mind guys. Thank you.

Suggest you contact Mr. Orlan of Youngbros Auto Supply, Banaue, telephone number 732-46-57. They still have stock of that sensor for SR 20DE engine (for Altima/ Serena). It is really difficult to find that kind of sensor both brand new and surplus in the market.

November 23rd, 2009 08:08 PM #5basically, you didn't tell us about what is wrong with your ride? why does the mechanic said that it is the MAF that is causing your ride's problem?

No. From what I know, SR20DE uses a MAF sensor while GA16 engines use a MAP system.
MAP http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MAP_sensor
MAF http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mass_flow_sensor
Assuming I am wrong and the GA16 you have uses a MAF sensor, using one from a different engine will result in a wrong sensor value sent to the engine's ECU resulting in a irregular running engine. This can be corrected by using a AFC or programmable piggyback ECU but it would be more expensive than just finding the correct sensor.
