Will the new Almera save Nissan?

Talk about wrong timing. They should have released the Almera prior to the Mirage's launch in November Prospective market for <1.2L engine has already been tapped by Mitsubishi. Pero alam ko mahaba pa waitng sa Mirage baka makuha nila If their inventory management is more efficient than Mitsu.

The Juke is next after Almera but personally, they should just release the diesel Xtrail and Evalia to compete with Innova. The Pathfinder will be a good replacement to the Murano. 7 seater sells more here. Another potential model is the El Grand to compete with Alphard. And finally the new Sentra and the new Altima to complete their lineup. Carlos Ghosn should also focus to SEA region as we have plenty of room for growth.

32. Nissan Juke (Certainty: 70%)

Wanting a piece of the highly lucrative mini crossover genre, Nissan could certainly bring in the Juke to add some pizzazz to its local line. Already being assembled in Indonesia, the Juke could easily be sold to the Philippines thanks to AFTA rules which reduce the importation rate to zero. Already previewed at last year’s Philippines International Motor Show, the Juke’s roughly the same size as a Honda Jazz or Ford Fiesta but offers a very unique exterior design said to be inspired by a crash helmet. The front-end is certainly striking with its stacked array of lights. Inside, the sport bike motif is carried on by its red or gray-painted center console which resembles a fuel tank. As for performance, it can be powered by a 1.5-liter engine or even a 1.6-liter turbo if things get a bit crazy for Nissan.

They should bring in a mix of Renault and Nissan (JDM and USDM) models out here to revive the Nissan image. If Lexus proved successful out here, maybe Infiniti could also do it.
