I think most of the people who bought a leaf doesn't car too much of the money involved and but if the few who are then they are cooked.

How much do you think the resale value of the 2021 Nissan Leaf today? no one would buy it at 2M when you can get a brand new one at that price, highest i would think is 1.8M if they are lucky; realistically around 1.6M.
Thats a 1M loss in a span of 2 years.

Now if the Nissan Leaf becomes Popular and demand skyrockets and Nissan hoards the Leaf like what Toyota is doing to some of its popular models then it would mean that theoretically you could sell the 2021 Nissan Leaf for around or near the SRP price of a new one.

Whoever bought one early, they definitely could afford the SRP price.

Of course, trying to achieve ROI, that is a different thing.

The Nissan Leaf is an EV with design issues. Starting with the battery pack without thermal management.
