However, there is no other manufacturer that makes better use of platform sharing than the VW group (VW, Audi, Porsche, Seat, Skoda).

I like SUVs too, specially the big ones (Expedition, Armada, Suburban). In SanFo, I had the Armada as a rental and it is one good truck. Our local Patrol Royale is a twin of the Armada. I wouldn't mind having one if money is not a problem.

Altis only, doc? How about a Civic?

In case the Skyline is brought here, its nearest competitor among the Asian cars is the Stinger GT. Except for those two, your only choice for sedans with powerful engines are the Europeans.

Definitely, it will not be a CVT. That's more than enough torque that a CVT tranny can handle. All models of the Infiniti Q50 including the TOTL Red Sport 400 (same output as the Skyline 400R) uses a 7-speed AT tranny.

That we don’t know if they will replace the Altima here with the new Skyline. However, globally, the Skyline is in a different category from the Altima.

Report: Nissan is ending production of the Skyline | TopGear PH

According to a recent report by Nikkei Asia, the decision to call it quits on the iconic nameplate stems from an overhauling of the company’s business structure that will shift its focus to SUVs, electric vehicles, and “other growth segments.”
