    If they do sell them here, it will prolly be as rare as one can be.

    Good for Nissan to make a new version though, it shows longevity.

    there is probably significant manufacturing cost saved, if the molds and stamps are similar, if not identical.
    but of course, the manufacturer will not say this. instead, it's "company profile".

    It is a known fact that manufacturers use similar platforms across models. They communicate this but most people would not pay attention to such details. The new Skyline is based off the Infiniti Q50 platform.

    Toyota/Lexus use similar platforms, trannies, and engines, the same way as Infiniti/Nissan and Honda/Acura. However, there is no other manufacturer that makes better use of platform sharing than the VW group (VW, Audi, Porsche, Seat, Skoda, etc).
