Nissan will be releasing a new Sentra SR Turbo in the US. It will be powered by a 1.6L turbocharged direct-injected petrol engine (similar perhaps to the engine on the turbo Juke) rated at 190PS/240Nm. This model will have a stiffer frame, updated steering, bigger brakes, and stiffer suspension. It will be offered in 6MT or Xtronic CVT trannies.

I guess everybody is joining in on the small turbo trend.

Trying to bring back the B-13 SE-R magic? Hope it has that same low-end grunt the SR20 offered.

    What's the body weight?

We all know that compacts nowadays are around 1300-1400 kg in weight compared to the older compacts which just weigh around 1000 kg. The new Civic 1.5L turbo is around 1300 kg and is one of the lighter compacts now.

As per the article from Car and Driver, the engine is rated at 188hp at 5600 rpm and 240 Nm of torque at 1600 rpm. They say it would sprint from 0-60mph in 7 seconds. The 6MT tranny option will be a boon for tuners as a manual tranny can take in more torque compared to a CVT or AT or DCT which has peak torque limits.
