Heavy traffic ba yan? 4.2 is almost equivalent to the old Expedition's FC. You can try another round of full tank to be sure.

I have the pre-CVT version acquired Feb 2010, the X-Trail 250 4x4 2.5L (non-X). In the city, I get 4.8 to 5.5 km/liter, but I do have a relatively heavy foot, and my route is normally a bit congested as well (I work in Makati, live in Pasig). In the open roads, such as when I go on my road trips to Ilocos, I could hit stretches where I get 10-13 km/liter if there are is no traffic. I almost exclusively use Shell Super Unleaded, though lately been using Petron Extra Unleaded if Shell does not have stock.

Looks nice, but I like the stock form better.

Congrats, glntVR. ;) Nakakuha ka pala ng X-trail.

Ngayon ngayon ko lang naappreciate ang looks ng Xtrail, maganda naman pala. I like it in Blue.

alekos ; you sure ? 4.2km/l is a bit low. It's nearing the boundaries of the big Ford SUV's already. Recompute again. If it remains the same .. probably the route where you pass through affects your FC.

    OR .......

assuming that you have not yet reached your 5k mark, FC should be better after having your 5k PMS.

I DID however, get the variant with the GPS, DVD player (and dual rear LCD screens) which my kids really like. We're very happy with it.

BTW, it comes with keyless entry as standard. Is it recommended practice to buy an alarm for the Xtrail or is the keyless system good enough? If it is recommended, what is a good brand to buy?
Better not. It might just mess up your electrical system and cost you a lot of money. If you have experienced installing an alarm, usually it involves splicing of wires. Also, it's a waste of money. May alarm na then lalagyan pa ulit.

I really don't understand why people waste money installing alarm kung meron na naman alarm kasama yun car

Thanks! Yup had it since mid-October. Right now odo is around 1,600kms already. I wanted to get blue but my dad doesn't like it, can't argue with him its his money although ako gagamit. hehe Black is out since my sister has the old Xtrail in black. Maganda din naman Xtrail but its very subtle. Unlike Tucson talagang people look at it lalo na nung bago pa.

My consumption goes down to around 4.9 to 5+ when I drive around heavy traffic areas (Binondo, Kalentong, EDSA rush hour) but during the holidays I'm able to get 7-8kms. I have a heavy foot so FC is quite good for me. I'm getting almost the same figures when I drive a 2.0 V6 cefiro and a 1.8 Optra
