April 7th, 2010 09:36 PM #21Having more features does affect the price sorry to say. that's why all options models are more expensive than base models. we cant expect to have good options kung limited ang budget natin. As to it being a luxury model? well it is. thats why it has all those great features. as to your comparison about the features well you used a mid size sedan as your comparison that's kya mejo mali. it is a midsize SUV after all. Top of the line camry (priced over 2M) does not even have most of the features the murano have. only european midsize suvs have the features the murano has. its features is even better than the current AD5 patrol. i know this coz ive seen it already. and if that's not reason enough tell that to the family in ayala alabang (they live near the madrigal gate)that literally drive only muranos (3 to be exact and they are not connected to nissan ehehehehehe). And for the importation taxes well that's already an automatic for all cars. Lastly we have to understand na the murano is only for a specific market. the reason why its feature packed is because the target market for this very particular on car features. they are the ones who buy cars that has dual sunroofs, like an exciting drive, like to showoff his car to his fellow rich friends, uses his car as pogi points to high society chicks, and have space for his golf clubs at the back to go golfing on a sunday morning. don't get mad but to be straight if price is an issue for you then its not for you.

April 8th, 2010 10:19 PM #23I never said that it doesn't affect the price, read my previous post.
Well, this is where I am wrong, what I meant was that there are certain additional features which Murano boasts off but also can be found in other more and true luxurious cars.
Well, if you want to show off, you can just buy closely priced true SUVs. Like Expedition, Suburban, Tahoe, Pajero, Prado. I know you'll say that Murano's features are more luxurious than those I said. But these are the ones our society accepts as a show-off vehicle. Though the inside of Murano is nice.
I agree that this Murano is luxurious but it just doesn't deserve the praise or glory UMC is giving. Specially how the bosses made Murano look like a steal compared to other true luxury cars from true luxury brands in true luxury segments. Let's not full ourselves, everyone knows this is overpriced. Cause if you still can not accept that fact. Get a Murano owner from UK, US and Japan, and make them see how Murano is priced.
I will never plan to buy anything from Nissan Philippines (NMPI and UMC) anymore. Nissan has been our beloved company specially in the 90s: Terrano, Cefiro, Frontier & Sentra; and we still love Nissan above all, just not the local one. But Toyota, Honda and Mitsubishi are the ones today. And we're very satisfied with them.

April 9th, 2010 09:21 AM #24i think a lot of its price can be seen when it is driven already. i mean, test drive the unit first and see if it is indeed worth the P3+ M peso price tag. it think its not just the bling accessories that made it P3+ M, it's the engine (270 HP? whoa! patterned or having the 350Z roadster engine?), the safety package (frontal and side? tama ba?), suspension system, cruise control (?), comfort (NVH). basically anything you cant change drastically by going to banawe.
anyway, i am seeing a lot of muranos hitting the road these days. a head turner actually. kanya kanyang taste na lang siguro.

Saw the Murano during the recent PIMS. The rear seats doesn't recline and is so uncomfortable to sit. Almost straight body ang upo. A big disappointment for me.
Thank you for all the comments and insights. After evaluating everything, which included...
