currently, they see motorcycles as a problem for a lot of criminals have been using motorcycles in committing crime, reason why the government has been restrictive on motorcycles. Motorcycle restriction is fine like apprehensions due to lack of appropriate riding gear or due to blatant disregard of traffic rules, but the ridiculous ones like the no backride policy, and forcing the motorcyclist to some other route rather than taking the safer highway (tollway ban) is simply despicable. I wonder why don't they give the problem it's own dose of medicine similar to a snakebite which has an antidote sourced from snake venom? Why don't they provide the police enough motorcycles for use in law enforcement? Well just a thought, I reckon those Raider 150's will already do for use by the police in the city rather than buying those Pathetic China Harley wannabe's for the Raider is well, sinfully fast yet very flexible specially in a traffic gridlock, while those in the freeways must have their Yamaha R1's or R6's or Suzuki Katana's or GSX-R's to apprehend overspeeding vehicles? Just a thought...

Kasi pag binigyan mo ng raider ung mga pulis natin, mas gagamitin pa nila yun for pleasure rather than for work

i will a story kung ano aktwal na nangyari sa isang 18yr old na naagawan ng raider 150 dito sa batangas..

it was around 1pm when that 18yr old boy was driving along the highway. from a distance he saw 2 underbones standing near the edge of the road, then ganito nangyari ulit nakita nya na ung dalawang sakay sa motor eh nasa baba, near sa motor nila. Then nung malapit na siya sa dalawang tao na yun eh bigla nalang siya hinataw sa Lulod (between sa paa and hita). Then after he fel down Binigay na lang niya ang susi sa humataw sa kanya, just to spare his life. After giving them the key eh umalis na sila, but meron pala siyang remote.
it was saw by a 10yr old boy..
    Kaya kayo mag ingat kayo!!!

The root cause of this problem - bikenapping - is the inability of the law enforcement officials to curb the criminal activities like what has been discussed here in these thread.

Like what have happened in Marikina, they thought of a clever idea - banning of full face helmet - which in turn compromising the safety of the bike rider, full face helmets provides the best protection against severe head injuries in events like bike crashes, by forcing the motorcycle riding public not to wear full face helmets simply put the biker in greater risk.

Like what happend in Q.C. They thought of a clever idea - Banning backriders or Two-up riding. Most of filipino families opt to purchase bikes as an alternative to public transaportation, which is more risky, holdupers, snatchers etc. More expensive than riding two-up (let's say husband and wife going to office and home) And more time-saving than riding Public Transports. - Banning these will force them to take the public transportation again.

Like in Makati - imposing the side mirror law - which is crucial in motorcycle safety. However Makati was very harse by imposing outrageous fees (3 thousand pesos I think was to much for an average filipino family) even for first time offenders (makati never had a grace period for this even worse was there was no information campaign that they will be implementing this)

In the motorcycle community, checkpoints are welcome. They offer a sense of security. These actually deter criminals from doing dirty deeds.

What I'm trying to point out is that Our Goverment should do something for the good of the Motorcycle community -not discourage the motorcycle riding public by creating these remedies(pointless ordinances) - instead of creating the solution to the root cause of the problem.
