It uses a torque pipe rather than an open pipe (fat pipe without buffles inside), where the latter is the one that the 39 hp KTM 200EXC or my 47 hp YZ250 are using.

The KTM Freeride 2-stroke weighs only 92 kg and the seat height is at low 36-inch (915 mm) compared to the 200EXC's 38 to 39-inch seat height. KTM also has a lowering-link for the Freeride 250R down to another 1-inch in seat height.

Hi chief Remzam, is the feedback about the trader/ importer mentions anything about a questionable reputation sir? i'm also curious as to which dealer i should be going for.... We have Nani Pazcoguin, Jovie Saulog, Jolet Jao, Jun Jun San Andres (father of MX champ Kenneth San Andres) and some more others as other bike importers.

As to the KTM prices, if a brand new Honda CRF250-X or 450-X, Yamaha WR250F or 450F cost around PhP430k to PhP450k imported straight from the US or Japan from the bike importers mentioned above, expect that the KTM Freeride 250R might just be above those numbers from Access Plus, but perhaps close to the PhP450k range or more.... It should cost lesser than a full-blown or full-size (250cc and above) KTM enduro bike like the EXC/ EXC-F series and its SX/ SX-F motocross bikes.... Though we don't really know how much it will cost more compared to the Japanese ones

As a comparison also, and this is in late 2007, i got my 2008 YZ250 2-stroke for around PhP375k brand new straight from California from one of the importers while my friend got his brand new 2008 CRF450-X for PhP420k. All i can say is that the Japanese bikes are built for reliability and are cheaper to maintain than the Euro-made bikes....

This is only my 2 centavos advice sir.... i'm still intent though on getting one of these Freeride 2-stroke sweeties at any possible time or opportunity, as long as the wifey won't learn about it first ahoho :D

    Cheers sir.
