    If my memory serve me right, I think you had posted here before that the word "pajero" has a meaning of sort, the reason why they change it to montero in the US...

    bigla na lang pumasok sa isip ko this afternoon while driving and hinde ko maalala kung ano meaning...

    can you pls refresh my memory....

    you are right, dsm - there's a lot of these funny mistakes in the car world...like:

    Chevy Nova = No Va is spanish for "no go" or "does not go"
    Ford Pinto = Pinto is brazilian slang for "little penis"

    and buick's latest car model soon to come out named "lacrosse" will not be named as such in canada cuz the french-speaking canadians in quebec that word means "masturba---n".i don't know what the quebecois name of the car would be, as of yet....

    Pajero is the Argentinian word for a predatory mountain cat... a cougar or lynx. Remember yung mga tire cover ng Gen1? Yun yung parang Pusa na naka outline.

    In any case, masturbator yung connotation niyan sa Spanish speaking countries, therefore, In said countries, the name was changed to Montero.

    Pero wala pa ring nakakasagot sa tanong ko kung bakit Shogun ang pangalan niya sa UK.
