i used to have a 1990 1.6 Corolla and i drove it without an air filter for 2 years.
All i do is spray the carburator with a carburator cleaner once in a while.
never ako tinirik nyan

Hehehe... we used to do that with a pair of Webbers on my cousin's Civic.
Ran like total crap at low rpms, but once those trumpets cleared their throats, the sound was wonderful...
But it's always better to run with a filter. You never know when a stray twig or whatever will get sucked into your carb...
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

April 20th, 2008 03:35 PM #6I intend to upgrade my engine slowly, starting with the air filter, bumili na ko ng simota na bilog eh di naman kasya.
Could I ask for some tips on what Air Filter to get? My car's a 1992 lancer EL, Serial 4 cylinder SOHC 12 valve 4G13 engine, tapos carb ko ay yung electro-carburetor na mukhang frying pan yung housing ng air filter mismo. Any suggestions?
