Sir tc327, I believe that is the 2010 Australian edition with the high performing 2.5L engine and a longer bed.

As far as I know that is not the one that will come out here. Face-lifted lang yung lalabas dito. No major upgrades on engine or body.

FYI I'm not saying that our strada's doesn't emit smoke.Well not as much as the navara's do But I'm just sharing my 1st Hand experience and there is no harm intended....[/quote]

yes your right, our strada emits smoke also but its only minimal, im also allergic to smoke kya sometimes i used to rev the engine and ask my bro to check the tail pipe for any black smoke, and guess , he said nothing as nothing. unlike the trooper we have, nku yun kapitbahay namen nagtatakip ng ilong pag nag rev ako sa tapat ng house nila, heheh pang asar lang sa kanya.

Maybe you are right... I talked to my Sales Executive at Diamond Motors and she told me that the price difference is only 5 to 10k only. So with that small increase I guess the 2010 Strada offers only aesthetic upgrades.

I still can not make up my mind if i should wait for the facelifted Strada or just go with the existing one. I will be test driving one later this morning at their stockyard in Cainta. If things go as I expected, I might be issuing a check na, however the color that I like (dark gray mica) is still not available. I am one of you guys who is having sleepless nights because of this wonderful beast.

Pardon me, but it seems I still don't get what the problem is. Where does the clicking sound come from? Is there a defective nut or part? a misalligned bushing? So what was fixed? Thanks.
sorry for not including the results doc hehe.... if you refer to the last pic the upper part you could see a small hose clamp attach just below the plate like thing if you zoom on it. they have put it at my last PMS and told me to observe it if the sound will disappear apparently it did not so about a few weeks after my PMS I came back to them and have my steering column replaced and voila....the sound was gone...

yes sir nawala po... actually indi naman po maingay na sound occational nga lang po eh pero minsan nakakagulat lang kasi di mo alam kung steering column ba yung nag to tok or yung elbow mo hehe kidding aside, in my case I only hear the sound when I turn the steering wheel leftwards so indi naman talaga ganun ka prevalent pag rightwards naman wala... Its just really annoying when it toks and clocks hehe

Yesterday it happened while I was parking my truck, but I also recall having heard that sound while traveling through c-5. I would venture to say that each day I use my truck, that sound would surely be heard - at least once.

Will follow-up with my SA. Thanks for the heads up too about the repair time, I usually leave it at Diamond before work and pick it up later in the day or the following day.

    Keep you posted....
We have the same case nga po....better get it replace na sir habang maaga aga pa sa warranty....

653KM na siya as of today, a week and several days after release. haven't used her since monday, kasi may nanakot sakin re: no plate no travel law. puro makati pa naman ang destinations ko this week. *sigh* ignorance WAS bliss.

re: modified higher armrest sa 2010 strada...sayang! yun pa naman hinahanap hanap ng siko ko ngayon. may nakapagmod na ba nito?

btw, last night i was traversing c5 in the alterra when a black glx (looked stock, exact same variant as mine) suddenly appeared from the right and started speeding away. wanted to test altie's mettle, so tried to catch up but to no avail.

but instead of getting flustered...i was actually quite proud of that little beeyotch who overtook me and showed me off. to be fair, i also turned into a speed demon (by my standards alone heheh) when i was in nlex....was doing 165-170, but parang hindi cause the ride was still rock solid.

as i watched those red tail lights disappear into the horizon while my white behemoth slugged along, all i could think about was....damn, galing talaga ng strada ko!

My wife and I had a test drive this morning. It went well. The strada met my driving expectations, however there are some minor factors that I discovered:
    - the steering wheel is made of a material which is slippery
    - the angle of back seat is sort of not comfortable according to my wife. How is the back seat of the Strada compared to other pickups? Is it fixed like that or can it still be adjusted? It is a concern for us because we go for long trips and I want to make sure that people riding at the back will be comfortable. I tried the backseat of a Ford Ranger, it was worse,
    - the center console should have an armrest (i guess the 2010 will have one according to my Sales Executive)

My SE told me that the facelifted Strada will be available late September or early October so I told her to put my reservation fee for a facelifted model. I guess it will be worth the wait. She told me that there will be an increase of 10k to 20k pesos in price, and that minor changes are done to it.

good observation sir, but if your referring to the back seat, the strada has the best back seat design out of all the pick-up. its the most slanted vs straight back pickup rear seats of the others. now the price difference, please check the website of mmpc for the up to date pricing. it shouldn't be that high as per our thread here. we are seing only less than P10K. please join the club once you get your strada.

regarding steering wheel, you can always wrap it with leather. arm rest is available in higher model strada.
