Helloooo!
I had a surprised from Mitsubishi Casa this day, I let my 3.2 A/T changed oil & it billed me Php 11,300 for synthetic oil, sabi nila mandatory daw this kind of oil used by strada. Class kaysa sa Pajero Field master, unbelievable.
Tell me guys isthis true, you all use synthetic? This is a clear " CARAMBA"

July 10th, 2009 05:22 PM #9057hi rts,
i think i was charged 6-7K first 1K. semi-synthetic. casa. kinda steep for a simple change oil.
btw, a rat was responsible for my fuel gauge problem. made light snack out of the wires that ran through the tank. it wasn't covered by the warranty so i shelled out 1.7K for the repair.

Synthetic!!!
As far as I know synthetic oil has a longer tolerance than natural oil, so next 5K km I may waive not to change the oil & wait for additional 5K more km, because I feel it is not reasonable to spent so much every time I change oil .
Or I will buy outside the casa same spec synthetic oil & bring it there, I know one shop along commonwealth, fronting Casa Milan that sell synthetic motor oil produce in Germany.
Correct me if I am wrong that if natural oil needs to be replaced every 3 months, synthetic oil replacement requires far beyond that period.

Hi sir RTS, where casa did you bring your strada? What is the mileage of your strada? The P11,300.00 must be the whole charge for the PMS service and not for the oil alone. Otherwise, that's hold-up.
Synthetic oil is highly recommended for our 4m41 engine and the recommended change is every 10,000 kilometers. However, you still have to change the oil filter every 5,000 kilometers. The regular mineral oil can still be used but has to be changed every 5,000 km.As far as I know, most club members have already shifted to synthetic oil for the engine of their stradas both the 2.5L and 3.2L variants.
Mitsubishi Service Centers in Metro Manila do allow bringing in of own oil for the PMS change.
As a rule of thumb, try to avoid additional services and decline offers for additives that are outside the standard recommendation of MMPC. This is where the cost of PMS becomes bloated. We generally believe that they are not essential.Last edited by ooba99; July 10th, 2009 at 08:28 PM.
