natuwa ako dito... Free Goat for every Triton(strada) sold- in NZ!
http://www.mitsubishi-motors.co.nz/c..._item_0168.asp
Mitsubishi offers free goat 22 May 2009
In a drive to help the rural community stave off the recession, Mitsubishi Motors is supporting primary productivity by offering a free goat with every new Triton sold before August.
“We firmly believe that New Zealand’s recovery is in the hands of the rural sector and they’re the people who are buying our utes,” said MMNZ general manager of sales and marketing Peter Wilkins. “Goats, like our Tritons, are hardy, versatile units, which will integrate directly into existing farm operations”.
“Goats improve farm productivity by providing an environmentally friendly defence against noxious weeds and they’re a lot cheaper than toxic sprays”.
“Goats also provide export commodities that can help improve our balance of payments. They grow a fine micron fleece, much like the renowned Merino, which can be used to produce high-quality garments. Goat’s milk provides a nutritious alternative for the growing number of lactose intolerant people and while goat meat is seldom featured in Western restaurants, developing countries consume vast quantities,” said Mr Wilkins.
“And, most importantly, there is no such thing as Goat Flu – so no threat to tourism. It’s hard to see a downside,” he added.
“At MMNZ, we are aware that three years of drought has severely depleted sheep and beef populations, so what better time to ‘float the goat’?” said Mr Wilkins. “We’ll supply a free goat with every Triton sold before August and do our bit to loosen the grip of the recession”.
“On the off chance that the purchaser already has enough goats or feels that goat herding is better left to those in drier climes, we’ll supply a ‘no goat package’ consisting of a five-year/100,000km extended warranty, five free WOF inspections, 5,000km road user charges, five years of roadside assistance and $500 of genuine or approved Triton accessories,” Mr Wilkins said.

*Patriarch: thanks for the welcome, chief! yeah, i know what you mean...don't really want to dispose of my gsr, too many good memories in there! *wink wink ;)
*av8or: thanks for the info mr prez.... not really a sound techie but looked up the abbreviations for 2DIN, at least now i can specify what i want when i visit the stores. also helped me in deciding which strada model to get. wanted the gls for its rear window feature (hmmm...pwede kayang lagyan ang glx nito?) , but now am leaning more towards the glx for the ease of installation of the video system.
speaking of which, 1) which store/installer did you get yours from, and what brand did you install on your ride? ayos ba ang service/performance so far? any buyer's regrets? dehins ba nadamage ang bumper mo when they installed the camera?
2) don't really have an idea of the budget for this, what would be a good price range for a reliable system? any suggestions on brands which give the best bang for the buck?
3) did you also put those lcds on the back seat? yeah, i know it's luho for just a double cab, but want to avoid noisy kids (and adults as well haha) peering over my shoulder to watch the movies on the monitor.
thanks chief!

hehehe... i didn't know 2doors can do wonders... :naughty2:
============================================
*hansypattucci, hello po sir!
this is what i checked on regarding the DIN for car audio: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_7736
IMO, it is somewhat impossible for the GLX to have the rear power window. probably due to the additional wiring, space and labor to have it installed. I don't think MMPC has the parts readily available for this kind of pursuit and i havent heard of anyone to date who did something like this- but i could be wrong though... Nonetheless, irregardless of getting either the GLS or GLX, it is still a good investment.
as far as installing LCD screens at the headrest, yup, i know how you feel since my nieces at one time Laughed Out Loud to the antics of Mr. Bean behind my ear while i was driving...I think leading car shops have installed an LCD screen- Fellow Strada Club Member Bobcas was able to have this done (i forgot how much it was and where it was installed) but leading car shops can have the LCD strapped to a pre-existing headraistrant... just be aware of cutting a big hole on the seat cover though...
lets wait for sir av8or5 as well as the others for their response... HTH.
