June 24th, 2009 08:43 PM #8982basics lang po sir, such as the engine, ilang kms/liter, if its easy to maintain, stock size of tires and rims etc.
currently, I own a gen 2 pajero and its very easy to maintain, parts and even aftermarket, just thinking if the previous gen strada is the same with paj gen 2 or 2.5 in terms of parts availability and car durability.
Planning to replace my car with this kind of truck.
Also, whats the price range
thanks mga boss.

its actually the preference of the owner...but many owners have had those done to their strada seats...join the club.you will see it in actual.
very reliable and parts can be found everywhere. one member has around 200k++ km and still working fine.

June 25th, 2009 06:40 PM #8986hi guys. tagal nako di nakalogin. at di pa rin member!
6 months of ownership at wala pa naman problema up until this morning. i think it's a minor one.
started my ride after a 3 day hiatus. everything was ok except for the fuel gauge. empty daw. eh meron pa ko half tank. in fact, the digital thingie in the middle tells me that i still have enough to run for like 270 kms.
if the needle is down and the empty tank indicator is lit, i'm wondering if it's just a sensor problem. di naman siguro yung needle mismo
first time to have encountered this problem. and on a 6month old strada pa.
anyway, i'll have it checked tomorrow. will keep you guys posted

*sir vinkim ang engine po nag mga strada is as follows gen2-4d56 turbo(same with the gen1 pajero), gen3-4d56 turbo inter cooler(same with gen2 pajero) and the new one is 4d56 turbo inter cooler and 4m41 turbo inter cooler(same with pajero sport and im not so sure kung same nang new pajero), sa pajero engine po ang wala lang katulad e yung mga gasolina at yung 4m40 na enngine.

hi guys,
newbie here. am about to upgrade from a gsr to a strada (most probably a glx or a gls) within the next few months. hoping to join you guys real soon.
am happy with all the specs i've been researching so far, except for one little thing...i could be wrong, but judging from the brochure, even the highest model strada (gls sport custom) apparently does not come with a dvd video system or backup sensors.
had a chance to use an alterra this past week, and i have decided that this small feature will be a necessity for me (unfortunately, i am not the best backer-upper in the world, and- like most of us probably are-i am not a fan of sitting still in heavy traffic).
so, my humble queries are as follows:
1) has anybody here attempted to install a third party DVD-video-backup +backup monitor system (preferably GPS-ready) on a glx or a gls?
2) if so, what brands have you installed? any feedback on performance? price?
3) for the backup video system, how do they install the camera at the rear, and can they install it so that it's not stealable? (kasi in the alterra it's integrated in the body, so miscreants can't just lop it off.) do they have to drill into the body?
4) may i humbly request for recommendations with regards to vendors who offer the best price and reliable service? contact details and addresses would be highly appreciated.
thanks in advance, and more power!
cheers,

P.S.
RIP Jacko. Rocked out to the bucharest best hits concert dvd in the alterra this afternoon. Hoping to rock out in a strada...soon. ;)

welcome to the thread sir. I also have a gsr when I bought my strada.... my wife inherited my gsr since i dont want to sell the said vehicle for sentimental reasons hehehe.
for your queries, our president, av8or5, can answer most of them since he installed a 2 din DVD player with back up camera...
hope to see you join the club soon! drive inspired!
