April 29th, 2009 01:24 PM #8715Hi,
I am from monty thread. Do your unit has similar issue on starting engine that has a thump sound (tranny hitting the chasis).?

welcome to the strada thread sir. wala naman lumabas na ganyang issue sa mga strada namin.
question lang po... is this your first diesel vehicle? kasi kung nasanay ka na sa gasoline fed na sedans, ibang-iba talaga ang feeling in terms of vibrations sa makina since kahit crdi na, diesel pa rin ang fuel natin. pero kung excessive vibrations and thumping sound na... and kung mas grabe pa sa mga old school diesel engines, may mali na talaga sa unit mo and dapat ma-check na yan ng dealer mo. good luck!Last edited by ThePatriarch; April 29th, 2009 at 06:20 PM.

i could not give an objective opinion since I havent driven a navara yet...
pero here are the opinions of those who had the opportunity to compare the two vehicles...
a. truck bed of the navara is bigger
b. cabin space of the strada is roomier
c. acceleration of navara is quicker but top speed, depende na yun sa dibdib ng driver, hehe
d. more expensive ang navara
e. sedan like suspension of strada is better
f. the strada has "a club that rocks" hehe
over all, nasa end user kung ano ang better vehicle... pero since strada thread ito... I suggest go for the strada

yan yung pamatay dyan Sir Tp, hahaha!
dagdag ko lang po.
Curves
Navara-its too boxy
Strada- its too ***y
Height
Navara- Very low ground clearance for a pickup
Strada- Very appropriate ground clearance for a pickup
In terms of the engine naman po.
"from what I heard" the navara is really fast. but I think sa top speed it somewhat lacks daw.. With regards to the strada naman what I've confirmed from a friend of mine (not a member of the club but drives a strada 2.5GLX) he was able to reach a top speed of 190kph
and to help you more sir doncuadro there is a lot of automotive magazines out there that has done several revues on both pickups so maybe you could source out some of those back issues....
still in the end as what everybody else says, you should choose the vehicle that fits you best.
But I would definitely recommend the Strada....
