Mga sir, I've been having problems with my alarm. I'm not sure kung may napindot lang ako or may nasira. Nawala kasi yung chirping sound when I activate and deactivate the alarm but it goes off naman when triggered. I read the manual and tried fixing it pero ganun pa rin. GLX pala unit ko. May nakaexperience na ba nito and may suggestions ba kayo kung pano ayusin?hehe Thanks in advance! And happy holidays. :-)

Hi there patapotatoe,
as of now, i haven't of any other GLX users with this issue yet... it might be in valet mode lang siguro.
if you are here in Baguio, feel free to bring to the Motorplaza showroom. i think Kuya Bert and/or Jema might know how to reset it. Or perhaps winterpine would be fine if you are in Manila... you can backread the threads a bit here as the address might have been posted.
thanks very much and happy holidays to you and your family.Last edited by ianmitsulancer; December 25th, 2008 at 02:32 PM.

December 26th, 2008 12:08 PM #7924Merry Christmas to all BOSBs!
After a two day drive from the holiday, I must admit, the Strada performed extremely well. Rain or shine. My girl commented how it drives like a car at hindi matagtag. Aircon is cool ala Nissan. Audio is the best in the lot. With 35psi tyres, I average 7.3km/liter. I logged in 90km already. I'm still getting used with the steering wheel, it doesn't return to center position like cars do. I tested the D-Max and Navara before and both didn't show that problem.
Closer inspection, I saw rusts sa assembly holding the muffler, you can spot it at left side of the truck, mine is COMPLETELY rusted! WTF?
Second, I opened the hood and saw hardcore dusts at both corners, passenger and driver side. I tried cleaning it water and it won't go.
Halos putik na ang itsura. WTF?!? Is this an old stock car? Why the loooong wait then if its there in the first place?
My wipers isn't "totally black" at all. It's fading. Like dark copper brown to black at some areas. WTF again?!? They're noisy when you use them even in heavy downfall. There's soap sa reservoir and it still squeals like a rat.
At one point, while backing out, I turned the steering wheel to utmost left and a "lagatok" sound was heard. Didn't happen again though. I hope.
And since this is my first time to have a diesel engine and a truck, ganun ba talaga when you start it, ang lakas na alog? It's like a mob shaked your truck for 2 seconds?
Lastly the passenger airbag, the dash is "nakaumbok at kusot", think of it like a polo na it wasn't ironed well. Again, is this normal?
No issues so far on the infamous squeaking suspensions, uneven ride height and the rest.
I wish I can post pictures but I left my digicam's cable at the office. So I can't transfer pics to my laptop. I was so excited to drive, I think everybody can relate to that!
I'm returning to my dealer next month to install 3M tints, ask for the EWD (nakalimutan daw nila, naks naman, another creative excuse), the remote control for the JVC and point out my problems.
Still, I love this truck. When the turbo kicks in, wow, what a good feeling and parking is a breeze too.
Would love to join the Dec. 29 meeting, I hope there's no plan with my kumander then.
Again, thanks for all the support and the priceless advice, infos I got here, it made me pick the Strada after placing it last on my list.
And I don't mind having one again in the future.

Congrats again sir Idoy.
As for your feedback on your ride, it's all minimal and maybe due to rush of releasing your unit, it wasn't cleaned at all.
Diesel engine is really different from gas fed ones. Vibration and movement when starting is normal. Even noise and performance are different. One note on diesel, even the transmission shifter moves or shakes a bit, but minimal for automatic.
The power, especially with your gls sports is really strong.
Your other complaints, thats something other people will have to see if its normal or not. with regards to your windshield wipers..well, the rubber of mine makes the same noise and it was like that when i bought it...maybe just have them replace the wiper..as long as the noise is not coming from the motor, then you are okay..
yung sa muffler, well, i can tell you, ganyan tlga sya... all strada being released meron na rust look sa muffler..its actually the part thats holding the muffler to your ride. i dont see it as an issue because I haven't heard of any stradas muffler coming off unlike isuzu crosswind (read their thread, meron reports on that).
it's also nice if you can make it on the Dec 29 meet-up. It's much better to talk to owners and let them see your ride in person to assess your findings. Personal experience is much better I say.
congrats again sir sa unit mo.
