"The shafts on most turbochargers spin in excess of 50,000 RPM and generate lots of heat. To keep your turbocharger's heat under control, most are cooled by circulating oil or water (coolant) around the shaft. The turbocharger's shaft is free to rotate at will and there is no way to stop the shaft from spinning after shutting the engine off. To dissipate and stabilze the heat in the turbocharger, most manufacturers recommend that a car be idled for a period of time after moderate to hard driving to allow the oil/water to take heat out of the turbocharger.
Failure to reduce the temperature of the turbo could result in the oil around the shaft "coking". Coking is basically the baking of oil, turning it into a hard substance that could plug your oil lines and cause oil "starvation", preventing proper cooling of your turbocharger and reducing it's operating lifespan. "

So tinatantiya ko kung gaano katagal ko ginamit and how long ang timer ko. Bale so far as i know depende kung ano pag kaka tantiya nag gumagamit.

    ahhhh I see....thanks sir dadz!

I set mine for 2 minutes bulacan(marilao) to ortigas...I think its already adequate...

The plastic bed liner of the strada should be the same for all since galing lahat ito sa casa. Ganito rin ba ang bed liners nyo? If not, dapat ko ba papalitan ito for a new one?

    Thanks!
i suggest you bring it back to them and have it checked, dapat even yan sir. the liners was installed here and not in thailand.

in the normal scheme of things, i don't think a turbo timer is really needed.

if the purpose of the turbo timer is to delay the turning off of the engine after the turbo has been engaged, then our everyday driving habits and the state of our streets already accomplish the purpose

our everyday route usually goes like this. start, slowly drive off to our destination, spirited driving while in the highway, stop and go driving in busy streets, then on our way home another stop and go driving in busy streets, finally before we reach our house we slow down, we wait for the maid to open the gate or otherwise we go out of the vehicle to open the gate ourselves.

from the above normal driving conditions, it seems that the only way the turbo operates is when we do spirited driving in the highway and sometimes during stop and go driving in edsa. on occassions that we are on busy streets, we usually drive at a crawl. at the front of our gates, we let our engines run on idle.

to cut the story short, we unconsciously become human turbo timer ourselves so that the installation of an electronic turbo timer seems to be not that critical or essential.

    just my 02 cents.

    Thanks for your reply sir.

I already contacted my SA and have informed him of my concern. I hope to bring the strada to the casa for their visual checking soon. My preference is really just to replace the bed liner.

    Thanks again!

Para sa akin pareho yan na super depende kung saan mo gagamitin, 3.2 bigger engine and mo Hp and torque kesa sa 2.5, but gas consumtion siyempre mas malakas ang 3.2 tipid naman and 2.5 that's for me.

Let's wait for everyone's idea. Welcome po at mabuhay.
