    thanks sa replies!

baka nga nasisira yung SCV dahil sa fuel.... yung Carens ko kasi nag ilaw recently yung fuel filter warning light, pina drain ko na and hindi naman umilaw ulit. pero other than the warning light, wala namang ibang issue

both the Strada and Carens use Caltex diesel at Sucat rd. Full tank palagi until the auto shut off. Yung Carens fill up pag half empty na, yung Strada naman fill up pag almost empty na para umabot ng 2,000 yung bill at makakuha ng libreng kape

    other strada owners experience this?

What you're experiencing may be an early symptom of a malfunctioning SCV. Better to have it checked sa casa.

anything wrong with our strada in the first place?
or sa design? or dahil ba sa road conditions natin and diesel fuel?
is there a thread where we could discuss the common problems?

As far as I know that place is elevated. Mataas yung lugar.

I had my last fill sa isang bagong Petron Station along Q. Ave. Sana for life na yung bagong SCV. I hope....

i think that are normal noises because friction of the moving parts do generate noise, maybe we can minimize it through lubrication, tightening or change of parts that generate unusual noise. even airplane generate noise inside the cabin. he he he....... yup, i also agree that other strada generate more noise than others strada. especially comparing the sound of the engine noise. see you on next eb sir.

oi sir ken! musta? see you sa next EB nga.

i agree with you sir dahil sa friction nga. normal lang may noises even the sophisticated machines. pero if you compare the noises to other car makes, brand or model, the noises came too frequent and too soon.
IMO. kasi na compare ko lang din sa ibang cars ng family namin and friends.

still, noises and problems aside, i love our strada. that's why i want it in tip-top condition and top mods. hehe......

Sir bertobol, there is no perfect vehicle and there is no perfect truck. The only consolation that we should be thankful with our truck is that, all known problems with the strada is remediable. All common problems that cropped out since day 1 that the new strada rolled out on our shore has a solution and had been addressed.

Most problems of the strada was already discussed in this thread, and old-timers in this thread are probably already tired of hearing the same problems coming out again and again kaya hindi na nagre-reply.

Remember too that our vehicle is a truck and not a sedan.

I also had my SCV replaced this year under warranty. The price in the invoice was 4k something. They also replaced my airflow sensor which is around 3k something in the invoice.

They changed these because after having my 30k PMS, my strada began stalling. Maybe because of the adjustments they did, these components failed?

I did not experience any loss of power prior to my 30k PMS. My strada was working perfectly fine... dunno really what they did.

Cross posted from the Lights and Lamps page.

Hi gurus! I want to put leds as replacement for my stock park lights but what I have are lights within the same heaadlight housing as my halogen. I have fears that the heat generated by the halogens can actually melt part of the led lights. did some googling and this is what I found:

    http://clubsciontc.com/forums/exteri...ht-bulbs-7096/

Any comments? Any advice would be appreciated. By the way, I have a strada so the park light bulb and main headlight buld are inside the same housing.

    Guys question po.

Normal ba na FC for GLS Sport A/T 6-7km/l city, 10-11km/l hway? Basis ko po dun sa trip computer.

Coz i got a friend that has a Montero GLS SE, sa kanya around 10km/l city
driving daw. Same engine, tranny, i think heavier pa Monty nya. So how come mas maganda FC nya. Does not compute talaga.

    Thanks in advance.

This is also similar to my fuel consumption. The Montero Sport will have about the same fuel consumption. Maybe your friend was looking at the computer display while he was cruising at highway. Best way to measure is to fill up fuel tank reset odometer, drive until half tank or 1/4 tank then refill on the same fuel pump of the same station, get odometer reading and divide by number of liters filled.

There might be an issue with fuel quality in this country, that engine probably requires at least Euro 4 compliant diesel.
