    that's an interesting experience sir.... Im just wondering....how's the condition of your engine now? do you still experience this sudden stalls or anything?

    Because I have a theory on your case....I think the fuel you loaded to your truck is not dirty or maybe not that dirty but rather its formulation has too much extenders.. just like what you said they do put in such things....because IMO its really prevalent in provinces to add this such extenders like kerosene and the others to cut on fuel cost....So maybe thats why the performance returned to normal, when the fuel with a lot of extender was already burned the new loaded fuel takes over the system and its back to its old operation again....

    again its just a theory....because basing from one of our member's experience(bigblock) on his truck he heard unusual knocking sound and seen an adequate production of smoke by the exhaust which is really unusual to the strada and not just the stalling alone....when he had his problems with the SCV

    However....If I were you I would still make the effort of going to the casa and have it diagnosed using the computer(I forgot the acronym of Mitsu's diagnostic sytem)and to see if theres anything unusual on its operation just to be sure that no further damage has been done....libre naman yun...[/quote]

    ok na ngayon sir ung performance ng engine ko,ramdam ko na ung dating hatak especially accelerating from 2nd to 3rd gear, it used to lose power as soon as I get to 3rd gear, delayed ung response from stepping on the fuel pedal;and minsan namamatay yung makina as if it was choking with the check engine lit.One time I was able to get home with the check engine indicator lit. When I got home I turned off the engine and let it rest for an hour then I started it again-wala na ung check engine indicator.Inubos ko ung laman na diesel then nagpa-full tank ako sa Shell-ayun awa ng Diyos ok na upto now.I plan to have the truck checked on my next PMS,by the way sir thank you for your secret tip on the squeaking leaf spring-I am still weighing my options though.

    Madalang nga sir, parang lumalabas limited edition pero tingin ko by early next year marami na deliveries na ganung kulay. Kasi yung sa akin natyempuhan lang na mayroong available. Heard from my SA wala sila delivery from 15 December - 15 January. inventory ata nila.

    Someone told me that adding a liter or two liters of kerosene to a full tank of diesel will clean / cleanse the fuel system including the injectors. So this kerosene "additive" is simply a fishy story?

    this is true... MMPC has limited number of working days especially for this month. for those who wish to get their Stradas this month MUST move ASAP! the dealers may be open during the christmas break but it would depend their inventory will depend on what they got before MMPC closes for the year.     Di naman talaga pare-pareho ang sinasabi ng mga dealers. Kanya-kanyang palakad. Walang consistency. Dyan mahina ang Mitsubishi.
    Definitely, dirty fuel is the culprit. Pero kung tutuusin, puede mo ipaglaban na covered ng warranty. First, sa Petron lang ako nagpapa-refuel. Meron ba recommended ang MMPC among the big oil companies? Meron ba sila sinasabi na avoid the small or old (questionable) dealers? Masisigurado mo ba talaga na tuwing magpapakarga ka eh malinis lahat ng pumapasok sa fuel tank? Kaya nga may fuel filter. Eh di palpak pala fuel filter nila kung ganun, kaya nakakalusot ang dumi. Sa kin, SCV was covered, fuel filter hindi. Baka dapat pati fuel filter covered kasi pumalpak. Nagpalit naman ako ng fuel filter as recommended sa PMS.
    Sa akin lang, yung dahilang "dirty fuel" is BS. Sige nga, ano ba recommendations ng MMPC para maiwasan ang dirty fuel? Kung meron at di ko nasunod, yun ang di covered ng warranty.

    Update lang regarding my manual transmission. Last week, I changed my manual transmission oil and transfer oil using RP Max-Gear SAE 75w-90. Before, I have difficulty getting into 2nd gear early in the AM. Sometimes, from 1st gear, I skip to 3rd gear para lang maipasok at umarangkada. Now, smooth na pasok sa 2nd gear, tapos smoother, quicker ang shifting.
    I'm just wondering why my casa did not follow the recommended viscosity as stated in the manual. Which makes me want to ask sir Dadz kung puede nya itanong dyan sa MMTh kung ano gamit nila na gear oil before sending out the units to the Phils.
    Sa mga mag-30k PMS, better check out kung tama ang gear oil na nilalagay ng casa.
    Sir Ian, may inside info ka ba regarding this issue?

    Pre, bakit ka nagpalit na ng manual transmission fluid, parang maaga yata? Yun ba ang sinabi sa manual. Kasi sa ibang sasakyan ko, mga >100k kms usually ang palit sa M/T, tapos sa A/T, mas matagal pa.

    Curious lang...

    BTW, kung RP yan, Royal Purple, magandang oil yan. Full synthetic ba yung pinalit mo? 75W-90, generally, ang transmission oils unless there's strict specifications.

    regarding kerosene-diesel mix, pwede yun kung ang makina mo is yung mga non-crdi... unless gusto mo sirain yung mga injector nozzle mo..

    ginagawa namin din yun sa mga elf at truck ko para pumasa sa emissions test...

    regarding the issue of doc boz, medyo kahina hinala nga yung nangyari sa kanya eh, bakit kung kelan na palitan ng langis yung tranny nyan, nagloko naman... unless may hanky panky yung casa na pinag dalhan at ibang langis ang isinalin, kasi hindi naman lahat ng tao gamay ang mga langis eh... baka nag magic yung mga loko

    Kerosine- a foe or friend ??

    I've been in petroleum transportation for quite sometime(exxon)and it is acceptable to mix small amount of kerosine to diesel, in fact will improve the octane of the diesel. Im not asking you to do this but it is my practice to every full tank of diesel I topped off(70ltrs) I mixed 1 & half ltr of kerosine to imroved the ignition properties, This is my 3rd gen pick up & Im doing these eversince . These was not my idea but suggested by petroleum engrs. provided that you stay w/in the proportion. Jets are using kerosine(layman term) as their fuel , we used to called it turbo jet or JP1 fuel, only it passed higher standard of filtering process & moist removal plus anti static additives.For your peace of mind you can ask the Techinical expert of MITSU .

    Sir LenJun95, meron po dun sa dealer ko nyan. actually yan nga ang binibigay sa akin kaso GLX yung unit ko. Pang-GLS talaga yan. May brochure pa nga nyan na ganyan ang kulay. Gwapo nyan.

    Medyo nakakatakot naman sa bulsa yung tungkol sa SCV.

    Para po sa lahat...ano po ba ang mas ok na Diesel sa Strada natin?
    May nababasa kasi ako karamihan Petron, meron din Shell...malimit Caltex.
    Yung nakuha ko yung unit ko, ang kinarga ng dealer ko ay Petron.

    May difference po ba between Shell or Petron ...or personal preferences lang ito?

    And, usually ano po ba ang advisable RPM nyo kapag shifting of gears? Nasa 2K rpm po ba or more than that?

    sa diesel, depende yan sa preference mo... but make it sure na maganda quality nung gas station para maiwasan mo ang problem sa scv

    2k rpm sa pag-shift ng gears is ok... pero minsan sarap galitin ang makina to unleash its power hehehe

    sir ok din kahit 3++ rpm para walang carbon deposit tanggal yung bara. medyo uusok nga lang ng konti. after that wala na.. sarap humataw! 36++k na pala reading ng odometer ko.
