And Mitsu is even coming out with an SUV based on this new Triton platform with the racing heritage of the new EVOLUTION based on the same platform.



It will be launched at the Bangkok Motor Show in March 2006 and they plan to go head-on against the successful Toyota IMV Fortuner.

The bumperless models allow the tailgate to drop down fully which allows you to back the truck up against delivery bays without getting the tailgate squashed.

Hope they bring this beauty to the philippines soon - great styling both in and out, 165/140/116 hp engine choices, will probably still have the best ride in its class, and from what i hear class leading interior space. I'll have one in black thank you

I'm almost 100% sure of the engine variant though they also have a 90hp 2.5l diesel engine used for the 4x2 triton - but even that would be nice as an entry level engine. what i'm concerned about is the pricing - though i've been told by friends from MMPC, mitsu phils., that prices will be very competitive with the hilux - hope they bring it in asap.

wish they would put at least the 4m40 for the next models...

from my latest mishap, the bumper does have its uses....at least once you back up on something it wont include the whole tailgate...unlike what happened to me...but then again, I took off the bumper for aesthetic purposes.
