Hi sir! Please allow me to answer your concerns with regards to your strada...^__^
here I go..
I can half heartedly suggest that you do what sir KCboy did...get the taiwan made actuator installed....However...for the time being I would also suggest that you wait for a little more...kasi inde pa tayo sigurado dun sa tibay nung taiwan made na yun...even though sir KCboy can attest that mas durable yung taiwan made...di parin tayo sigurado if it can stand the test of time...kasi baka mamaya mas tumagal lang ng ilang buwan kaysa dun sa OEM na actuator yung taiwan made tapos masira din....tapos bigla ng lumabas yung ultimate fix for that actuator(just like what happened to the steering column) and then madiscover ng casa na you replaced it pala with non OEM actuator..so malamang nyan inde na macover ng warranty....so its still best to wait talaga...so konting tiis tiis lang tayo sir......pero kung medyo frustrated na talaga kayo then pwede nyo narin siguro i take yung risk and then pay for the so called "ultimate fix" nalang if ever magkaroon man at kung ma broke down yung taiwan made...
mukang your a victim of dirty fuel sir....kasi considering na bagong bago ang unit mo tapos nangyari yang ganyan....but the best that you can do is that you have it checked to determine if dirty fuel talaga...or factory defect...
you can always haggle naman sir...if sinabi sayu na ichacharge sayo then tell them na bakit sa ganung dealership covered ng warranty....then pag sinabi talaga na charge sayo at wala ka na magawa...then I think that's the only time na pwede ka na dumayo ng casa.....but in your case...since undoubtedly new palang yung sayo and bagong bago pa talaga ...I'm pretty sure papasok yan sa coverage ng warranty...
as I said pwede mong reason out na ni "alikabok nga inde pa napapasok yung interior mo tapos bigla nalang pupugak ng ganun yung bagong auto mo"....mali naman yata kamo yun....yung mga tipong exaggerated na reasoning pero logical and within the point naman hehe....authoritative tone dapat...
Let me give you a tip sir....pag may nakita kang tanker na nakapark always ask the attendant kung tapos na ba maglagay yung tanker....now...pag sinabing inde pa naglalagay...proceed ka na sa next station dahil malamang nyan malagyan ka ng latak...and pag sinabing katatapos lang ma unload....then magpakarga ka na...for sure fresh na fresh na diesel yan...hehe
Good to know that sir....and I just want to let you that know that your not alone with the !*#$*#$%%^&* service issues of the dealerships....and its also one of the many reason that our group exists....to help each and every owner on everything that they experience with their STRADA whether it is good, great, or unfortunate things....
As always sir....we are glad to be of help...

heya peeps...im thinking of buying a strada too but i was just wondering why of all of the problems stated in this forum the service centers or even the dealers themselves have not taken notice of it since its the same problem over and over..i mean beforehand just check everything from the uneven height stance, leaf springs down to the door locks ..i'm sure we all just want to have perfectly nice new cars that wont bog down for two years, even the littlest things are like hassles because in the first place that shouldn't be a worry on a new car and most specially if you're a busy person...i for one wouldn't want to just go to the casa to let them fix just the door locks on my 2 month old car...its like you bought a bad door knob for your front door and it keeps recurring when you have it fixed...dang....how's the ratio on these problems anyways? how many glitches out of 10 stradas? like one or two out of 10 stradas have these problems?
on a lighter note i love reading this thread and all the peeps here are really nice and supportive to new owners....just want the dealers to hear your voice on these matters lang and just take action cause its like irritating to read the posts on page 634 then read a similar woe again on page 802 hahaha....well crap mahaba na pala nasulat ko....more power to you guys and keep up the good work!

I can totally understand your concern sir....because you want your money to buy the best that it can just like all of us here....However those flaws that you are currently reading in this thread with regards to the strada are very minor things that can be given a solution in due time....and if you really observe things...its the part that is having the problem...and not the service...so it means its not really the service that are having problems...because as you can read some of the people here had there actuator changed for almost 3 times already....now it all boils down to the defective actuator units.......Now, since the strada is no doubt one of the best selling automobiles in the country today.......and for that don't you think that MMC would let one of their top selling vehilce's sales be afftected by just a stubborn minor part like the actuator? off course not...so I'am quite certain that this very minor flaw could be given a solution...so let's just give it a little more time...besides it hasn't been to long that the 2010 was release right? and if its gonna have some flaws it should be better if it occurs earlier so that the manufacturer could find solutions in the soonest possible time...and another thing...its not that I'am uplifting the strada's reputation...but honestly speaking...I believe the unfortunate things that you can read here is far more better than the unfortunate things that you can read in other threads....
and for your question if some of the guys here experience it with their GLS sport.....I for one does not experience such problems.....Let's wait for the others especially the ones with the 2010 units...
HTHand another 2cents from me...

thanks sir errr loco?...your reply is duly noted, i've been to one local magazine online site a while ago and there's this column about pickup comparisons between the navarra, ranger, and strada...the editor said that he hasn't driven the navarra yet but he clearly states that the strada is the pickup he loves most. i hope you don't mind sir if i PM you some questions (as soon as i figure out how to haha...first time on a forum see hehe
) cause clearly you're one of the active members of this thread and very knowledgeable....i really just want to be enlightened on certain things cause its been a while since my family owned a mitsu....i drove an L200 when i was in college hahaha and boy did i love that truck and kinda miss it too.....anyways, that's it for now....thanks a heap for the members' replies....
