I have mine w/ roller lid, it is very true that water seep-in during downpour & apparently everything inside get wet, to correct the water ingress you have to put leatherette sheet on top lenght wise w/ a weight on the end of the sheet ,so when you roll in the sheet ,it will fall on the same housing of the roller mechanism. Just be sure to put adhesive at the far end of the bed door to hold the sheet when pulling out.

December 17th, 2009 11:24 AM #11737When I got my Strada last month, isa ito sa talagang pinagisipan ko. Roller lid vs. Jumbo Utility Box.
Maraming pros and cons between the two. I intend to put stuffs in the back of my Strada on a semi permanent basis. So kung lagi nandun sa likod mga gamit ko, dapat water proof ito para di mabasa yung mga gamit ko like my rubber shoes and extra shirts and slippers. I've heard testimonials of people here in the forum and from Carryboy personnel that their roller lid is not "water proof" but just water repellant. So its not a good idea for me to go for the Roller lid. Ang isa sa nagustuhan ko sa roller lid is that it fully utilizes the back of the Strada para maging lalagyanan ng gamit. But since I don't intend to put too much stuff sa likod, ok na rin yung size nung box ko.
