    hi bro!

a piece of advice to a soon to be BOSB =D

    don't get too worried.....

if you have time please do backread.....you can observed that there is this certain problem waves that ocassionally happens in this thread especially when we are in the buying season.....as newbies are, I should say a little bit paranoid with their new rides and they are really conscious on every little glitch that occurs in the ride na normal naman since it was their hard earned money that was spent....which also happened around 300 threads ago and I was also one of those newbies na konting tiktok lang post na agad para tanungin kung anu yun(buti nalang mababait ang bosb's to answer me at that time hehe)so yun nga....tapos, several threads had passed....the problems was patched by solutions........and again this wave has comeback So I think the same solutions that was done in the past would also be done at this stage with much more improvement for the reason that the dealers are already familiar with the common glitches of the strada... so just like what you said about the life cycle of the strada, parang may cycle din dito sa threads.....

and to make you more happy about buying the strada and to put that worries away....

last year when we bought the strada('08) if I remember correctly...MMPC executives could not get the smiles out of their faces for the reason that the strada is selling like bibingka and puto bungbong on the last night of simbang gabi(lets put the in season descriptions to good use hehe)....again if I remember the numbers right....the sale was about 2,100+++ units that was around 3rd quarter of 2008 pa ha....then 2009 lets assume they delivered around 1,000 units...so 3,000++ units sold na....and again na naman if I remember correctly there's not more than 3 units na lemon ang nakita ko sa thread na to and most of the problems na kinocomplain is the common ones na na may solusyon naman, yung iba naman most of them are BOSB's. natyatyambahan lang ng dirty fuel which can be considered as an accident...I think there is around 5 or 6 of them already or might be lesser......Im not a math guy but comparing 3 glitches to lets say around 150+ owners that have already read this threads, I think magandang statistics na rin yun if you asked me hehe....

tapos dumating pa yung facelifted and according to one of our members(alainroyce) it was 2,000 landed units of strada facelifted in batangas....I don't know with the strada's critics but I would really have a hard time on saying that MMPC is stupid to import those 2,000 units of strada if its not salable to our island...hehehe

    So as what Av8or5 said....

If you always think about it, it will happen, So never think about your ride having this problems....^_^

and BTW I did not use the phrase "there is no perfect car" hehe masyado na kasi gasgas and I believe showing raw figures is much better, saka yung iba kasi ginagamit na yang palusot....hehehe

    Hope It helps! =D

when I was in the dealership having my ride detailed.....I happen to have a chat with 2 thundercat brothers....who just had their 3 day old strada being detailed also...and they said that they were able to run on 4H til 120Kph....

kas may nanghiram daw na tinesting yung 4x4 tapos nung ibalik sakanila inde naka 2H tinanong ko kung may naging problem....wala naman daw problema except for the consumption...which is expected naman...hehe

Im just not sure about the other pickups in the market on being it not able to engage 4x4 on pavement.....But IMO I think pwede din siguro sila kasi puro indash na di pihit na yung 4x4 nila and inde na kambyo which I think more appropriate on onroad application.... Im not sure though...anybody can coonfirm?
some pickups and suvs have a shift on the fly feature for their 4h but only on unpaved roads. so please bear this in mind and verify with your 4x4s if you can shift on pave or unpaved roads because damaging your 4wd system can be a really costly mistake.

the one thing that makes the mitsubishi 4h special is it has an open center differential which makes it able to drive 4h on pavement, as for the 120kph on 4h, it is no problem, the main advantage of the easy select to 4h is shifting from 2h to 4h to a maximum of 100kph only, otherwise you will risk damaging the transfer lever, but once you've shifted to 4h, you can go upto the maximum 200kph with no problems, that is the super select 4wd system of mitsubishi that i know, use, and very familiar with base from my previous experience with the gen2 pajero, gen 3 pajero and the current montero sport. it is nice to see that they have adapted this to the strada which was unavailable in the previous generation strada.

Good afternoon po mga sirs, ask ko lang po if may alam po kayo tindahan ng accessories na nagbebenta ng IPOD Console cable for JVC head units? I am currently using 725 model and it says that it is integrable with ipods as long as I connect the console cable. It is very difficult for me to find this cable. My HU supports USB connection of IPOD pero upto 8GB lang kaya niya isupport-which limits connectivity for IPOD video/touch w/capacity greater than 8GB.Sirs, if you do know a place where and how much po kaya ung cable? Thanks.

    sir locoroco777,

thanks for the reassurance backed up by statistics, i didn't mean to bash the strada if i sounded that way, it's just that it is my first time to own a pickup, but i have other 4m41 mitsubishi vehicles, and ive had good experiences with it.

The following day I brought the unit to Mitsubishi-Valle Verde and they told me that there was a problem with the suction control valve. Until now, they haven't finished fixing my unit. I called again this afternoon and they said that there was another problem with the air flow sensor. I don't know what's taking them so long to fix the problem and on top of that the service/updates are really terrible. Kung di pa ako tatawag di pa nila sasabihin kung ano yung problema. Have any of you experience the same problem with the SCV + air flow sensor? and if you did how long did it take for you to have your unit fixed? Thanks in advance.
    Hello Fellow Baguio BOSB Patapotatoe,

i was contemplating of visiting the Motorplaza Showroom here to see your unit... yun pala your truck is at the Valle Verde C5 branch of Diamond... heeheehee...

I'm quite surprised this issue is taking longer than the usual. Some of the club members got theirs resolved at lesser time. Please PM or text me the VIN of your Strada GLX and I will do what i can thereafter. I hope to see you at the club's party. Click HERE for more info. Thanks and see you soon.

I have'nt noticed any peculiar changed or strange noise, also the other reason why I mixed w/ small ratio of kero to my diesel is to compensate whatever impurities diluted to the diesel I filled in from different gas station, coz I dont patronize particular Big Oil Company. I can say something , my old Mazda B2500 which I used these method, for 10 years as my work horse, I did'nt change or calibrate the nozzles until I sold it.I do the mixing only when I fill up to the brim

patapotatoe, regarding the suden increase in RPM, lately i've been getting a lot of questions about that.... did this happen along with the sudden slowing down of the vehicle? ie galit na galit yung makina pero ayaw na humatak? tapos may parang malakas na hagok ng hangin yung makina? umilaw ba yung check engine light mo?

the usual culprit here is that some stupid or idiotic casa personnel who did your last change oil did not tighten the intake hose from the air cleaner to the turbo.... mangyayari sa iyo niyan is lkimp home mode.... pinaka mabilis mo is 30KPH pero feeling mo sasabog yung makina mo dahil galit na galit na yung andar niya... most of the time it has nothing to do with the air sensor but a lot to do with negligence and carelessness from the casa personnel. i thin i made a post regarding this a few hundred pages back on the pms thread, try to look it up. it might be helpful.

now regarding the SCV, si doc boz ang professional na diyan!! hehehe
