Sir,

Question lang. I'll be getting my unit on Thursday. My SA said the unit came from their Cainta plant. Naalala ko, may nabasa ko dito na almost 1 month or more than a month sya naghintay bago ma release yung unit nya.

    Thanks.

join the club and may discount tayo sa carryboy. another perks of being a member.

MY BAD... suri suri! correct, sir TP, i was a bit enthusiastic with the 2010 model... it was my first time to see it kasi eh...

Most notable difference is the front side turning lamps from AMBER to CLEAR (which was introduced in the 3rd quarter of 2008). Other that that, everything looks the same... There may have been a change of the Audio Head Unit from Kenwood to Alpine but that was since the entry of the 2008 models.

Hi sir, there was a press release from MMPC that hindi na baha ang planta nila. and I think you can see naman if nabaha, just check all the screws, usually may sign if nagalaw or hindi, and the smell of a new car will also tell if nabaha or not.

for me, I wouldn't worry about it much, but best if you really take a look at every single panel to see if it was removed or not. in short if it was tampered due to flooding and was cleaned out, but for me, its hard to get rid of a new smell specially if na flood ang car. i doubt rin naman if mag release sila ng flooded new car, it will ruin their name. IMO.

let's wait for others to reply if they have other opinions.

Yeah, there will always be signs that a vehicle has already been "tampered" with, especially if ganito ang case (flooding). Also, the smell of a new vehicle is unique and is different from one that has just been cleaned. Iba yung bango niya.

Kaya sir martian_, i-train mo na ilong mo sa new car smell by visiting showrooms. If your strada smells like Lysol na pine scent, magduda ka na, hehehe.

Biro lang, sir. I'm sure your strada will be fine. You might lose sleep thinking about it, hehehe.

    (((IMO)))

It would be very very unfair for the dealer to issue you a unit that was flooded. and i dont think MMPC would do such a thing. Yes, i do agree with Mr. President Av8or5 on this. To start of with, the flood water has a very high content of soot and soil so if, lets say, a house was flooded, the solid particles will remain and you will have to clean it up. If this happened with a flooded unit, then i presume that at least the carpet would be soiled even if it was shampooed.

What you can do perhaps is once you see the unit, be there, say... an hour before they ask you to come so you can catch them by surprise. Try to see if you can ask for a round of PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) so this will allow you to inspect every nook and cranny of the unit. When in doubt, ask them immediately (hindi "when in doubt, sue me in court!" as someone said that on tv... joke!)
