First of all, posting something like what the patriarch posted doesn't mean his saying that our trucks are perfect.

Please do understand the real Intentions of ThePatriarch...

He already indicated that it was meant not to harm whatsoever, It was done because he felt the responsibility to inform or remind you, navara owners of what are the possibilities that could happen if your trucks was poorly maintained or whatever it is the owner has failed to do to properly maintain his/her unit.

And For that "pakialaman issue" you are referring to, being a moderator and a tsikot member as ThePatriarch, and IMO its within his virtue to be informative in each and every little way that he could possibly can.
not just in the strada thread but all over tsikot...thats the whole point why we are all allowed to post in all the threads in this forums.

even you sir, your always welcome to bring in your inputs and negative comments here in the strada thread....and no one will stop you on posting in this thread hence we will be much more appreciative of what your comments maybe, be it negative or positive....I hope you could also do that in the navara forum....just like what sir OJ213 did....he understood the true intentions of the post and has taken the point well....Same case with sir loki_chaos who just laugh about it and said goodnight which I'd Probably could have done also....if someone posted the same thing...


and to inform you even more, the ride can accept all the insults and undesirable comments, no matter how hard it is because it has no emotional feelings as a person does......But if you insult the one who is riding it.
(e.g. posting something in their threads that some of them is spying on the 1st EB) it is a totally different story.....:uptight:

No offense meant for the pics that I posted, I was just shocked to see for myself that a vehicle (a crdi and a euro compliant model) was capable to emit such a continuous stream of black smoke. As a tsikot moderator and a responsible member of the tsikot community, I deemed it proper for you guys to be informed. While there may be numerous factors and reasons for the occurrence of that soot coming from that vehicle, existing nav owners should do something in order to avoid such problem with respect to their own units. And if after your thorough investigation and analysis, you find out that this can be remedied by the dealers, collective efforts from you guys may be necessary.

Again, my intention is not to malign nor cause ill feelings from nav owners. As pick-up lovers, we should do our share in order for our trucks not to be one of the major contributors of air pollution.

I hope this would clear things up. Happy motoring and drive safely guys!

As I've explained earlier in my post in the Navara thread, I have no intention to cause ill feelings. Being a responsible member of the tsikot community, I felt that it was my duty to inform the Navara owners, hence, the post in the said thread. The Navara thread is open for all tsikoteers provided that the post therein are related to or has something to do with the vehicle. Everybody can post comments, inquiries, suggestions, etc. in order to have a free flowing of ideas, as long as the forum rules are not violated. You can even post here in the Strada thread if you have something that you can contribute, be it positive or negative. Being owners of our respective vehicles, we have no monopoly sa mga open threads. However, posting in your own club threads is a different matter... we have no right to post there since we are not members therein.

I know you are an educated and a reasonable man. And I understand that your love for your vehicle in now clouding your judgment. But please be reminded that as a tsikoteer, I have not violated any forum rules and my intentions were very clear from the beginning. My apologies, if you and other Nav owners were slighted. Buti na lang, some of the Nav owners took it constructively.

Now, you mentioned about my position as a tsikot moderator... would you honestly say that I exceeded my authority as such? As far as I can remember, flame baiting and insulting others are punishable offense here in the forums, was there any action coming on my part?

I have no beef with you nor to the other nav owners... let us maintain proper decorum here in the tsikot forums.

If ever i would see a smoke belching Strada myself, by all means i WILL post it here without hesitation as a constant reminder that smoke from Gasoline and Diesel engines are one of the reasons why (Climate Change) weather adversities are occurring especially with Ondoy, Pepeng and here comes Ramil/Lupit. It was a simple reminder that proper maintenance will help reduce smoke emissions significantly to make our world a better place to live in. In other words, walang personalan po.

Like Sir ThePatriarch, I have no beef with you nor anyone else. As we continue to enjoy our rides, let us remind ourselves that non Navarra and Strada owners will appreciate its presence on the road through responsible maintenance and motoring as well as the observance of road and pedestrian safety.

Sir, let me remind you that the Nissan Navara Thread, as well as the New Mitsubishi Strada (Merged) are OPEN THREADS and no person or group has domain over it. Anybody can post on those thread as long as they are related to the subject matter.

I may have understand your concern if the post of ThePatriarch was place in the Nissan Navara Club thread. But the post is in an open thread and it is not off-topic. Please stop putting malice into something where there is none as already explained by ThePatriarch.

If you want to post here you may do so as long as it is about the strada, the vehicle. It will not matter whether the post is positive or negative. Otherwise we will regard your post as off-topic.

We dont throw around our weight here in the forums, and yes, diplomacy is still the best way to resolve a controversy in a civilized society. But if you cant accept any explanation whatsoever, that is not my problem.

Knowing that my strada is euro 2 compliant with respect to emission standards and I take care of it, yes, I can sleep soundly tonight.
