Just had my Strada's SCV replaced this morning. Finally, no more intermittent loss of power. According to my SA, several SCVs have been replaced already due to dirty diesel. Here's what it looks like..

Sir, it was covered by warranty. Although I waited for 2-3 weeks for the SCV to arrive. The fuel filter was also replaced, but not covered by warranty. It took around 2 hrs including MUT (fuel) learning and road testing.

Hi Sir, so far, I haven't heard of any injector problems with 4th generation Strada. The 4th Generation came out around 4th quarter of 2006. The power of 2.5 strada is satisfying enough. For me, i am very happy with its power.

    HI sir....

if your wondering why there's a dramatic difference with regard to the engine spec.....its because of the common rail direct injection diesel technology that was applied to the already proven 4d56T so that's why....

I can also say that its a lot more powerful than the 4m40....ask the other owners with the 4d56 Crdi's...I'm pretty sure that they already listed a lot of fieldmasters and gen 2's on their Bye Bye List

injector problems? So far as what Pres. Av8or5 said no one has listed problems with it.

    Hello sir AC,

On paper, the 4D56 D-iD is more powerful than the 2.8 4M40 with 136hp and 314nm (vs 298 of the 4M40) of torque due to the DOHC 16V CRDi head. It may seem tempting to see if this will be fitted on a Pajero FM body. Im positive it will provide adequate pulling power although no one has attempted to install this kind of configuration on the Pajero. But it seems convincing because if I'm not mistaken, 314nm of torque is about the same figure seen at the 6G74 3.5 24V DOHC engine.

For maintenance, may i refer you to our club threads regarding the PMS by clicking HERE. You be the judge to assess the running costs of the 4D56 D-iD vs the 4M40. One of our club members, Apollo_Kafka is one of our biggest milers to date with 40,000kms++

So far no issues with the injectors but lets wait for the response of the other co-members.

HTH po... Thanks and Drive*earth Inspired!

tol, salamat. yeah, peace of mind talaga especially when overtaking. muntik na ako di makaahon ng nagtahan last week. tapos, very smooth na uli ang engine at high revs.
next plan is to buy stockings para ma-filter ang diesel from my local gas station... o makabalik ng ng Caltex w/ Techron ... Baka di na mausok...
