Hello mga Paniero!
I just wanted to share an update on my Monty as you may encounter this maintenance as well.
My mileage is at 28K as I bought mine way back 2008. I know its no excuse but since its so fun to drive i kept driving it wherever I go/went.
I just recently heard my brake indicators squeak meaning my front brake pads needed changing.
1. I went to Bridgestone Fort to have my brakes checked and yes they were manipis as in MANIPIS na.
2. I wanted to get Bendix Metal Kings or at least the ceramic aftermarkets as i have had very good experiences with them in all our cars. Unfortunately, at this early in the game, I learned that there aren't any available after merket pads YET for the Monty. Initially I thought that they were the same as the Strada's pads but i was informed by Mitsubishi that they arent the same.
3. I did my brake pad hunting and again, unfortunately, there aren't any available aftermarket pads that i found. I had to purchase OEMs which are by the way TOKICO pads. The cost range was from a low of Php 4,800 to a high of Php 7,200 excluding the labor.
4. I called in the brake pads costing Php 4,800 from a Mitsu parts dealer. I just felt weird since they were the only ones that responded na "sir...kelangan dala mo sample kasi dalawang klase yan eh..." even knowing full well that its just the front that had pads. As compared to the others that said immediately the model number and the price. Hence I did not bother to go to the Banawe Mitsu parts dealer.
5. I called up El Dorado another Mitsu parts dealer and said that it can be ordered sa planta but will take 3 to 5 working days. I couldnt afford waiting that long since after all it was just pads that needed replacing. And from their end it costed 6,210. Same thing with an official mistu parts dealer at Shaw, Citimotors makati and Citimotors Alabang and the Diamond Motor group. Which told me one thing....they all get it from the plant. The most expensive I asked was Bridgestone themselves in which was understandable since they had to put in tubo on their end which translated to about 7.2k and yes they will also order it from the plant.
6. Luckily the guy at Citimotors Makati, was proactive enough to call their other Citimotors Branches and was able to find one in LP as it was the last pair. It costed the same 6,210 but they gave me a 10% discount on parts, which eventually ended up to about 5.6k Same Tokico pads that are dark green.
7. I inquired to have it installed at the casa and it will cost approximately an additional 1.5k for labor. So I just bought the pads and proceeded back to Bridgestone Fort, in which the labor is just Php 550.00 for pad replacement. It only took them all of 20 minutes from the time that I came in and went to the receptionist ( who by the way told me to wait three hours for it to be done) till I drove off into the sunset. I was impressed with the service that was done as it was like a pit stop.
Now my brakes are back to normal, no bleeding needed as bridgestone knew the process and had the tools to make the change without bleeding as they had a caliper press so that no air will be introduced and no additional brake fluid was needed.
I know we can change the pads ourselves at home but hey 20mins is 20 mins and just costed me 550 for labor.
I hope this helps in one way or the other. I hope by the time i need to change my pads again, there will be aftermarket ones available.
If you have questions about this do let me know.

Mga sirs,
In GLS 4x2 AT, regarding Radiator reserve coolant level. What would be coolant level? As per manual, it was told that, the coolant level should be in between the low and high level line indicators. Will these coolant level okay? or it would i be more okay if i have to filled it up to High level line indicator? BTW, i noticed my coolant level was at low level indicating line. May i know whats best for our unit guys. TIA.

Sir,
If you're asking about the complete list of available paint finishes for the montero, there are a lot. Savanna White, Pyrenese Black, Lorenz Blue Mica, Gemstone Gray, etc etc. Best to check the website if they have a full listing.
As for availability of the colors within each dealership, it will vary, so you need to visit/call casas to find out.
