Hello sir Mic! I was actually surprised to see you. And coincidentally on my way to Mitsu Alabang to get my honeycomb grille. I was going around the corner, I said to myself, "I know I've seen him from the pictures". Not really sure who you are, but I just had to say "hi!". Stopped right at the corner, hazard lights on, and blurted out, "Are you Mike?". True enough, it was you, wrong pronunciation of your name though.
Glad to have met you and I hope to see you again with the other Montero owners.
Thanks for the shout out and yes, I got my new grille installed already. I hope to post pics, but it's the same grille djin posted earlier. Either way, I'm proud to have it, even if it's just a simple mod.

To everyone, good news! Well, good news to those who would also like to disarm the passive/automatic arming of their alarm system.
I spoke to the Code Alarm installer of Winterpine and asked if it could be removed. It is just a simple re-programming and is actually DIY. It's not in the Owner's Manual so I photocopied the page from the Dealer's Manual.
Just follow the instructions. Passive arming is at option 6.
Good day to all!

Additional information regarding the re-programming of the Code Alarm...
- You'll notice that there is no step #4, that is because step #3 is technically a two step procedure, don't forget the "then back ON" part.
- Not sure if a differenct Code Alarm is on the other variants, ours is a 4x2 A/T variant, but on step #5, DON'T mind the chirp. As I move from one option to another, it chirps once, then twice, then thrice, then back to one chirp again.
- On step #5, just focus on the valet button. If you don't know what option you are in already, just watch the valet button. Basically, it's a cycle, every press of the button, it moves you the the next option. If you leave it, it will tell you what option you are currently in. Like blink, blink, blink, blink, pause, blink, blink, blink,bl ink,pause... means your at option 4 which is "headlights". When at the right option, proceed to step #6.

I'm so happy with the turn-out of this thread and the enthusiasm of creating that club. It seems like, the MS is following on the foot step of it's older sibling (TSCP). I don't know if this is good or bad, so I will leave it up to you all.
Example: "Band of Brother"s the term in the quoted statement.
2nd: Our Manila-Tagaytay-Manila Fun Run was also on the route of Star Hwy, Talisay, Tagaytay, bituka road to exercise the power and driving knowledge of the owners.
