    From C! Magazine (March 2009) pg. 73

Without the extra forward gear, the Montero Sport had difficulty passing 180 km/h.....

^^ thats not true! My signature picture below is a proof that C! Magazine's claim is not true.. I guess their test driver was the one having a hard time reaching 180 ,not the montero.. Did it several times with my monty's favorite playmate fortuner

I think I will finally have my Monty delivered to me this coming Thursday... *keeps fingers crossed*... My question guys, if anyone would be kind enough to chime in is regarding the tint for my Sedona Red Monty...

I asked for super black for the side and rear windows and a one piece medium black tint for the windshield... However, my SA is insisting that the "super black" tint costs more and I'll have to shell out more money as it is outside of their usual rate for dark tints... (As if I haven't shelled out enough money, tsk, tsk)

I just want to get your opinion, for those who have had their Monty's tinted at the dealer prior to delivery if this is true or am I being fed another load of bullcr*p... (excuse the language)...

Your advice would be really appreciated!

Thanks in advance and I hope that I'm welcome to join the club once I get the Monty...

    Regards
today, I had my tint installed at citimotors makati. I had 3M magic light full tint on the windshield and Magic 3M medium on the sides and rear window. I paid additional P2300 for the full tint windshield.

I also got a free Rain window visors with "Montero Sports" label.

    Is this a good deal?

    Hi sir,

First of all, i would like to say congrats to you and to sir ching for having a successful meeting this morning
Regarding our monty's top speed sir, does the PMS has anything to do with the increasing top speed? or it's just coincidence?

*Sir Mikko, honestly, i'm kinda intimidated going to bagiuo hehe wala pa kasi ako 100days driving experience kasi i only drive an average of once a week hehe and only been to bagiuo once, and i was asleep the whole time during the trip so i have no idea of the driving conditions there but i really do want to test my monty going there... i'm just not that confident yet with my skills hehe usual destinations kolang kasi is the mall (10 minutes away) and our EBs hehe

One possible explanation is speedometer accuracy. AFAIK, C ! uses GPS calibrated/tracked device to accurately measure the actual traveling speed. Peace.

*Number001, if you are talking about accuracy of the speedometer, you better think twice..if JPG was able to run his monty at 195 max compare to the 180 claims, it will be a large margin of error.

If this is true, i should get my Monty PMS to 5400 instead of 5000.

Another thing, i dont think GPS is more accurate than your wheels!

I can prove that 195KPH is not mission impossible for Monty, anybody is welcome
    for a joyride!

    Peace!
