you are right,, base on my understanding, previouly Japan car normally facelift after 3 years, fifth years change the model, but it seen like they change now, look at Altis, it already more than 5 years, they still selling....

you can see now, they break the model into 3 sector, Japan model which only sell in Japan market, Asian model for Asia, Euro / american Model for Euro or America...

Even the size of car are different too, America Honda Accord bigger size then Japan Accord.

In Japan they use corolla smallest size the corolla Altis here....

Also we use Innova here( aisan model), but japan use Wish( japan model), also small size...
