Yup. Carworld pampanga, sa intersection.
Sabi nung service advisor ko hindi naman daw compulsary ung rngine oil flush. Ever since kase ive never been a fan of that. Wala namang nangyari masama sa oto namen. Plus daily driver ko ung oto so i doubt kung may gunk na naipon, plus bnew pa.
Next pms ko ill remind them to get the excess oil charged to me. Sayang din kase, pang top up if ever magbawas ng langis.

March 4th, 2016 10:51 PM #2543several pages back were pictures from zix showing 90kms timing belt replacement showing some cracks. The service booklet said we need to replace our timing belts between 60-80K. Last time ko kausap ang service advisor, they normally push it to 80K but they will recommend no more than 80k. Nagulat ako when I asked an outside shop kung kailan ba pinapalitan ang timing belts sa 4d56 engines, ang sagot standard 100K. It seems based on Zix's pics di pwede sa 90, ano pa kaya sa 100K. But it seems a lot of us miss the 80K max mileage to replace the timing belts.

With our traffic you dont need to reach 80k or 100k to replace such. Its always part of the maintenance to inspect these wear and tear items. Some timing belts fail faster. Some mechanics do look at these things some dont.

2012 GLS/V A/T due for 40k pms, expired warranty na.. got this quotation from Freeway cabanatuan. i know mas mahal sa casa but masyado ba malaki price difference kung sa labas ipagawa.. any comments & suggestions.
sa mga nakabase within the area, meron ba kayo recommended shops na pwede gumawa nito para mas mura konti.
addt'l 9k for tune-up & intake manifold cleaning (takes 2 days)
addt'l 6.2k for brake replacement

March 8th, 2016 10:14 AM #2547From Cabanatuan din ako. Alisin mo na engine treatment. Galing ako dyan sa freeway last month for 80K PMS. Brought my own fuel filter, engine oil filter, engine oil. Sa gear oils ka na lang bumili sa casa. Replaced my brakepads with bendix.

March 8th, 2016 12:09 PM #2549Looking at your quotation, you can save a lot of money by sourcing the parts outside.
Below are the prices based from my experience.
Mitsu oem oil filter - 700
Mitsu oem air filter - 1700
Mitsu oem brake pads (tokico) 4500
SP III ATF - 350/liter
GL5 oil for differential - 280/liter
Turbo XP - around 500 to 550/liter (no exact price since I'm using Mobil Delvac 1 5w40)
Have your brakes checked first before replacing, my Strada M/T has 60K kms and brake pads are still ok, ofcourse mejo mas mabilis kumain ng pads ang A/T but my Montero A/T has 32K kms and still very ok. Sayang naman kung magpalit ka tapos makapal pa, mejo mahal pa naman ang OEM pads.

In a BYD FB Group, they kept saying na "Toyota Reliability" is a myth sa dami ng local recall nila....
