Pag sira ABS accumulator motor assy. titigas din sya...

If mahina vacuum pump, sira, may leak system, etc... Kahit idle, as mentioned, titigas pa rin brake pedal.

Actually, kahit nakapatay nga ang engine(0 rpm) and you leave the vehicle kahit for 1 week pa. May excess vacuum pa rin na matitira enough to give you a soft brake pedal is the whole system is in good condition particularly the check valve and internal seals.

Hydrovac failure does not equate to failure of your brake system, bibigat lang ang apak mo.
If nasanay ka na malambot ang brake pedal for driving x amount of years preno and suddenly 1 time biglang tumigas, trust me. Una mong iisipan and the TS can agree too, na feeling mo ala ngang preno. Nawala.

    my experience.
when the hydrovac fails, and the vehicle is moving at speed, matigas ang brake pedal. kahit tumayo ka't talun-talunan ang pedal, ay halos wala kang brake. raising the handbrake will give you some brake power, but not much.
with hydrovac failure, the brakes only seem "strong", when the vehicle is at stop or only crawling.

Hill start assist works on reverse as well, basta opposite sya lagi ng intended direction mo BUT on an angle of 3 degrees or more lang sya mag activate at di dapat titigas brake pedal unless may problem sa abs accumulator motor which locks the brakes for the HSA, or some software bug, dami pede scenario, etc...

The emergency procedure is to really step on it hard. Ibigay mo todo mo... Also, with aid of hand brake(emergency) brake, if equiped. For electronic brake like sa monty, not sure, alam ko di sya mag engage at speed.

I once drove from Subic to banawe without hydro brakes. May leak caliper piston seal, nabaliktad, E brake/hand brake lang ako all the way as my main brake source and I use the foot brake pang emergency to save brake fluid. LOL.

On some of our drag cars, we run without hydrovac to save weight and clean up engine compartment.

Bottom line, may problema nga to. Found sa user manual na kahit reverse meron parin HSA. Pero almost flat naman yung surface. Ang paangat lang talaga eh yung 2-3 inches na side walk then that's it. Hindi naman steep yung parking. Tumawag na ako sa casa, pinapaiwan sakin ng 2 days para ma observe nila. Wala ako alam sa brake system kaya di ko gaano magets kung ano ba talaga possible issue neto. But based from what I read, pwede itest kung defective yung brake booster by pumping the pedal while engine is off hanggang tumigas. Then step on it gently then turn the engine on. Dapat dahan dahan lulubog yung brake. Ganun parin naman yung akin. So I would think or assume na wala naman problema yung brake booster na sinasabi nila. I really cannot remember kung nag shift shift ba ako ng gear while matigas yung brake ko. Basta what I remember is I tried to get it back to normal for a while. Ilang beses ko tinapak tapakan yung brake pero talagang matigas. Until pinasok ko sa P y ung gear and engaged e-brake. Nung umante siya ng konte dun bumalik yung lambot nung brake pedal.
