Wait.... OT na tayo...
Pero minsan ang lungkot lang na hindi naiisip ng Gov't to find ways to encourage new car purchase and reduce the 10++ year old cars sa road natin.
If we can sell 2M new cars per year, I'm sure madaming mag manufacture ng cars dito kahit walang tax incentive ang government.

Mali yung itax kung patandaan.
Example a new diesel vs 15 year gas engine......Panalong-panalo sa linis ang gaso..
More mass-transport....
Kung ako sa inyo instead of buying new cars eh maintain your car properly so it will last....and pag nagdrive kayo swabe lang....wag harurot...

April 28th, 2017 10:23 AM #13my proposal is to tax ALL motor vehicles, because all of them spew out pollutants.
we can start with the new ones.
then, tax the car more and more, as it ages, to convince the owner that buying a new one is cheaper than staying with the older one. the sweeping assumption is that newer designs spew out less pollution than older designs.
tax diesels more heavily? Last edited by dr. d; April 28th, 2017 at 10:32 AM.

So nabawasan ang collateral damage.
The dirtiest area dito metro manila eh both south area, pasay and makati. Dahil sa diesel...
Dalawa klase ng pollution nasa diesel - noise and air.
Lets compare
A 1996 civic vs the current everest, fortuner, montero, isuzu eh labanan ng patahimikan at mas malinis na tambucho eh civic. And partida pa eh 21years old car yan.
So taxing a gasoline engine car just because matanda eh walang basehan.
Lets focus sa mga collateral damage.....not just maintainance

So saan nyo ipapark yan sa sidewalk.....
Eh what more pa sa diesel ng pinas.
