Btw, we are also contemplating on buying a non VGT model. OK na ako sa performance ng non-VGT. Pero I just wanna know if pwede ba sya pa lagyan ng steering audio controls? Saka may luggage box ata yung GLS-V models-up.

As far as I know, the difference is around 250k, P1,198,000 for GLX NonVGT compared to P1,448,000 for GLS-V 2.5L 4X2 A/T, maybe your are referring to GLX AT with price tag of P1,298,000?

^ that's about right. it's a pretty substantial amount for a farmer like me that's why we're inclined to get the non-vgt a/t too. dami na din pataba at pa-sweldo iyon

tingin ko makakatipid ka lang kung M/T non-VGT Montero. pero kung A/T non-VGT lugi ka, better get the VGT. mas maganda performance ng VGT pag A/T. yun M/T lakas na power nun, continuous supply na yun.

my only beef with the M/T Non-VGT is tingen ko mabigat yan i-drive, parang tangke din siguro yan. i really don't know, wala naman nag-review dito ng M/T non-VGT eh

The previous 09-10 model Montero Sport are all non VGT. So a review of the GLS MT is pretty much identical to the current non-VGT variant.

www.motioncars.com - The Philippine Car Buyer's Guide Since 1998! they have a review of the non VGT GLS MT model

btw, isn't it that the non VGT model more fuel efficient on sedate driving? When you are not really on the power band of the turbo? I mean if the turbo doesn't kick, shouldnt that translate to better FC? Than a turbo that works all the time (VGT).
