January 30th, 2007 02:20 AM #51That isn't exactly a fair assessment of the situation. We never did get the 3.5li 6G74, but we did get the 3.8li 6G75 version. Essentially the 6G7x series use the same block, with varying cylinder head designs. In this regard we might say that all of the gas engined pajeros 3.5li and up have had their engine blocks vindicated by the Dakar rallies.
It's also very noticeable when you scroll down and look below the works teams in Dakar, the Mitsubishi Pajeros are always the top privateers (with the exception of Schlesser's buggys, of course). These group-N vehicles are essentially the same road-going Pajeros you and I get to use, modified to race.

My spider sense is tingling... having read this thread and the one pertaining to non-remittance of insurance (Car Talk), it seems that our resident schizoid is back...

March 10th, 2008 12:33 PM #55Eggman is right! this is only for commercial reason. Racing competition is only mode to introduce your car..Advertisement baga!! pag champion lagi ma pag uusapan, so impact sa consumer is that they will tend to buy that kind of car..kasi tested na.
But not really they will put all the feature of Pajero Evo..kasi hindi swak sa budget..mabagal ang sales nila. Pero pag may budget you can buy naman those things eh.
Hay naku! ako nlang bibili niyan then post ko sa inyo..he he he
IIRC they're with AVID. The reported numbers in the TG article are from CAMPI.
