Recalls are ok be it voluntary or mandated. Of course it would have been better if they ironed out the kinks beforehand.

Recalls though are a double-edged sword for manufacturers. It can show them to be a caring company or one that makes crappy cars.

I guess that depends on the nature of recall....In the 90's, (i forgot which year) Ford Explorers were fitted with a defective Firestones....caused a lot of accidents but it wasn't Ford's fault.

But if you're talking recalls such as the exploding Fords - now, thats total crap.

Hanggang dito sa Pinas nakarating ang recall na iyan. They replaced the Firestones with Generals. Pero hindi ba Firestone din ang gumagawa ng General?

Main and Marine - so malapit ka sa may Wendy's, A&B Sound (at Cambie) and Superstore.

Dati ako work din sa Ballard Power Systems sa may Marine drive and boundary, papasok don sa industrial park center don. Actually Burnaby/Vancouver boundary na yun.

Actually, several batch ng particular na Firestone (i forgot which model) ang defective but Firestone discarded that tire model kasi wala nang bibili non..heheheh

OT: san ka sa Burnaby non? I used to go to BCIT in Burnaby (company paid for my school)

OOOT: Ilan ba ang A&B sa Vancouver, B.C.? Dun dati Uncle ko pero now sa The Bay na siya. Burnaby nga pala. Barnaby is name ng kakilala ko. hehehe. Thanks for the correct spelling.

Hindi kasi ako gano familiar sa place. hehehe. Mas nag-stay ako sa Ontario. Pero IMHO, Vancouver is a better place.

Those were Firestone Wilderness tires. A lot of them wound up here at rock bottom prices.
