I almost reserved the vehicle.. I almost bought this car.. luckily I did my research.. Well I was really bored at work so just for fun.. I typed the plate number of the car i was about to buy.. To my surprise.. It had a higher mileage reading!!
The car has 66k kilometers in its mileage..
But check the link below..
This was the website i went to..
http://www.ayosdito.ph/NCR/1283682-M...el.htm&xtcr=74
This car is located at MEGA EXPO TRADE INC.
Please avoid this SUV at all cost.. Don't waste your hard earned money..
BLACK PAJERO
Plate number : JJJ 785
Mileage in car : 66k or 68k
Mileage posted on a website (previous owner) : 90k - 95k
People are so dishonest these days..
ITS SO SAD.

May 20th, 2010 07:54 PM #6205Buti lang na research mo.
As for me If I'm buying a second hand car, as much as possible I buy from peeps I know...friends, relatives, office mates, etc. Ony downside is the wait can be a bit long.
Usually halata mo pag tampered ang mileage reading ng rig...di na pantay pantay yung numbers. Pero madami na rin sigurong magaling mandaya sa ganyan.
I'm sure you had doubts on the 66k km mileage on a 2001 model. Kaduda duda talaga yan.

Buti sir you came a cross the ayosdito post. di pala ayos dun! hehehe
But sometimes mileage really isn't all that you have to check, its better to test drive the car itself. Windows up and windows down. Lift the each tire, to check ball joints, tie rods, pitman arm etc etc. Even though a car may have low mileage but the under chassis is due for replacement, might at as well get a high miler with newly replaced parts.
Try to hear the engine purr with the hood open, have the engine rev and look at exhaust. Look underneath for scratches and dents especially sa paj na 4x4. Also leaks, after test driving it, not before. IMHO

May 21st, 2010 07:13 AM #6208I guess I should have said mas doubtful ang lower mileage specially if it comes from a buy and sell car lot.

hard to decide pag mileage. normally buy and sell inaatras nila yan (below 50k). even digital odometer nagagawan na daw ng paraan would you believe? ung MB ko nga before huminto sa 50k, inabante ko pa sa 100k kasi 84 model un. sino maniniwala na 84 model tapos 50k di ba?
it will really boil down to condition. seats, manibela, oil leaks, etc.
AC, parang bago siguro FM nyo * 30k and 03 model hanep! normally 10k/year so dapat nasa 70k na sya
