firstly, maraming salamat sa inyong pag-welcome... its good to know pipol whom we have similarities gaya ng auto.

AC, my 4m40 previously makes 7-8 km/l. Just 2weeks ago i had the nozzle tips calibrated dito sa mindanoa ave. and now its going 10km/l at NLEX and SCTEX (i go home to my province in tarlac weekly). usually 110-130kph takbo ko with that 130km stretch of expressways. city driving around 9km/l. kaya hapi ako ngyun.

mtVACS, Welcome to the forum. Medyo bago rin ako dito. Very encouraging yung fuel consumption mo. Anong route mo sa city driving FC of 9km/l & method sa pag measure? Thanks.

A/T kasi ito. kahit trapik sa EDSA (but not super rush hours at friday nights), nasa 9km/l. pag ok nga ang luwag ng road dito MM, nakakakaya pa 10km/l like for example mga normal hours like 10am-3pm or 9pm onwards. pumapalo din naman minsan ng 8km/l pag nasa makati area, malate, ortigas, recto, espana, quiapo, etc. i seldom go to makati and malate kaya i usually got 9km/l.

    eto 2nd hand subic pajero do changes gears like this;
    1st-2nd *1,800rpm (0-15kph),
    2nd-3rd *1,800rpm (40-50kph) &
    3rd-4th *2,150rpm (65-80kph).
turbo activates around 95-110kph, depende lang sa pagtapak sa pedal. the faster you step on the pedal, mas matagal mag-activate turbo. but once you got to 90kph, try to slowly press pedal at 95-100kph pa lang mag-aactivate na.

1st-2nd & 2nd-3rd bago mag-change gears ay umaandar ang turbo * 1,400rpm (is this normal?) kasi i hear the whistling sound of it (weeeeee...). pero from 3rd-4th walang turbo.

my real problem now is the A/T. kasi from full stop to 1st gear, parang umuungol na makina but the pace is very slow, parang pagong. likewise pag umaakyat sa flyover na walang buwelo, ganun din. pero i think the engine is okay... i hope so.

PB, I was able to install yung mga LEDs except the itong dalawa sa pics.

    Thanks for the help.

    mtVacs,
sir makapag share lang regarding FC. Sa layo kasi ng byahe ko nag come up ako to this rule. If you own another vehicle compare mo lang FC and get the % difference.
Ex. In my case my other ride is a Lancer Glxi; average is 10 to 12km/l and my Pajero's at 7.8 to 9.0 so % difference is around 21%. Then I monitor the price ng petrol to determine which ride mas frequent ko ginagamit. Currently ang price difference ng gas to diesel is 32% so mas ginagamit ko Pajero. You can also view ang ibang info shared from the link below.

dcarin14, testa, thanks sa inyong appreciation. sige compare ko sa gasoline consumption nun isa auto ko. i have 1994 corolla xl din, 15 years old na pero 130Tkm pa lang natatakbo. 1.3li carburator-type pero i convert it to power steering na. i dont usually used it dahil maganda itong ride ntin (pajero) at nakikita natin halos lahat sa kalsada. iba tlaga pag mataas ang auto. tsaka mukha na pang-taxi eh. hahaha. although its gray color.

still may isa ko diesel pick-up, 2.5li, non-turbo at napapansin ko naman na halos pareho lang konsumo because i always reset the odometer clock whenever i fill-up 30liters of diesel kaya i can compare how many km/li i usually gets. for a 30-liter fuel, dun sa 2.50li i get 260-320km drive mix run (city & highway). dito sa pajero, 250-300km, kaya i guess matipid na.

naka-ugalian ko ng mag-reset nun odometer i guess for five-seven years now simula nun nagtaaas ang diesel from P17 to P21. tagal na nga...

sa totoo nga, mas matipid pa 4m40 ntin when it comes to long drive na takbo tyo ng 110kph up dahil hindi masyado hirap makina, unlike the 2.50 non-turbo na parang hinihingal na. although 90kph below, mas matipid talaga yun mga non-turbo with lower displacement. i think masuwerte tyo to have diesel-turbo engines dahil maganda tlaga sa long drive. mas tahimik, hindi hirap makina at may hatak pa. nakakainip pa naman magmaneho pag malayo kaya mas okay yun mabilis.

still, safe & defensive driving for everybody!!!
