April 3rd, 2009 04:40 PM #3512Brought my JDM Pajero to El Dorado Cubao. The acceleration cable for PHDM and JDM magkaiba pala. Does anyone know where I can get a JDM acceleration cable?
An update. Several months ago I though I was having problem with my tranny. Brought it to different mechanics for diagnosis and estimate, quotation ranges from P50,000-80,000. Dapat palitan daw ang tranny kasi JDM, pudpod na raw mga clutch, mahina na raw pressure plate, kailangan overhaul (80k), palitan na lang ng surplus tranny, etc.
When I brought mg JDM to a repair shop kasi maingay ang ilalim (60k quote), the mechanic adjusted the acceleration cable and guess what. OK na ang nagii"slip" na transmission.
Yesterday, when the opened by tranny. OK pa naman daw ang loob and nilinis nila ang filter. Nothing extraordinary daw ang dumi. I guess I could say na buti lang kapos buddget ko for that tranny overhaul/replacement at P200 lang tip ko sa mekanico nagadust ng cable.
When I brought my pajero to Rapide-POEA, where they almost rob me of 30K because of some noise coming from under the hood. Bearing daw problema at delikado daw. Kapos budget ko so a few days later, after ang fill ng ga, poinacheck ko sa mekaniko (2nd opinion). Nilagyan lang grasa fanbelt ayos na rin.
yung timing belt naman gusto ko ipacheck sana pero ayaw nila. Pinapalitan na lang daw. That was over a year ago. I wanted to see if the timing belt needs replacing na kasi. I told them I understand naman mahirap iestimate kung kailan bibigay iyon pero at least masbi lang nila kung bago pa more or less o medyo luma na (candidate for replacement).
Anyway, I saved 80K for the tranny and 30k for that bearing problem (fanbelt lang pala). At sa eldorado naman, puti na lang chineck nila ang timing belt ko. Medyo alanganin na raw kasi lumang luma na tingnan. Sigurado daw hindi aabot ng year end. Buti na lang pinapalit ko kasi after removing the fan belt, kitang kita mga cracks and after pulling the belt with both hands, napatid ang timing belt. I guess nakaligtas ako sa tirik and overhaul.

April 3rd, 2009 04:56 PM #3513nung una i suspected sa timing belt, grabe kahit madilim binuksan ko yun cover and checked the belt and buo naman sya. i called my suking mekaniko at sabi nya kung biglang nagstall habang umaandar eh yun larger belt ang usually nagcacause nito. he said na i-crank ko daw to check kung umikot dahil kung hindi eh for sure putol na yun belt pero umikot so out na yun question ng timing belt. so ang tingin ko is yun sa injection pump. hinila na namin yun sasakyan pauwi then pinuntahan na nung mechanic the following morning. tinignan nya yun fuel filter and ok naman daw, checked the diesel kung madumi or may tubig at ok naman din daw yun diesel. he did further checking at hindi daw tumutuloy yun pagbuga ng diesel. sabi nya it is either the pump itself or yun solenoid. luckily kanina tumawag yun mekaniko... solenoid issue daw. 500 pesos worth then ok na, pwede ko na kunin yun sasakyan. baka bukas ko na lang kunin since pinadamay ko na din yun kumakatas sa front right brake. busted o-ring sa piston ang culprit plus yun stabilizer link bushings papapalitan ko na din. all in all baka 600 to 700 pesos worth ang gastos plus labor.
tungkol naman sa mga pulis..... hmmmm siguro papaabot ko na lang sa immediate superior nila since pinsan naman ng barkada ko. kung walang mangyayari, siguro banggitin ko sa brod ko sa media or sa vice mayor namin since kakilala ko naman sila. anyway si erpats na bahala dun dahil sya ang nabwisit dahil hindi man lang nagtrapik! at mas close si erpats sa mga opisyales sa area namin

April 3rd, 2009 05:04 PM #3514bro magkano ngayon yun timing belt? wala ba bro sa banaue ng acceleration cable? kung wala talaga hindi ba pwedeng convert or any replacement since alam ko ang JDM gen 2 eh similar sa parts ng L300. kung gusto mo naman scout mo yun mga surplus shops sa bulacan. baka meron ka makuha dun

dagdag ko lang, sa capalangan sa apalit, try mo punta dun kung wala ka talaga makita. pero mas maganda, alisin mo yung cable at hanap ka ng kasukat niya

April 3rd, 2009 09:07 PM #3516Pansin ko nga na sobrang haba ng accelerator cable ng jdm unit ko pinapaikot ko pa para lang malagay sa tamang lagayan. Hindi pala natin pwede palitan ng pang local hassle kasi talaga ang haba. Sir may idea din po ba kayo kung totoo yung auto tranny support ng jdm magkaiba din sa local yun kasi sabi sakin ng taga mitsubishi?
Nakuha ko na ulit yung JDM ko sa shop halos 2 weeks din nandun top overhaul, efi fuel pump rebuild, change atf and engine oil, cleaning egr, intercooler and fuel lines. Sulit yung gastos parang bago ulit.

April 5th, 2009 09:39 PM #3518almost 10k din inabot they use mobil atf pero delo gold lang muna pinagamit ko sa engine oil sa shop palang yun.
Parts ang mga pinaltan yung overhead gasket, valve seal, valves, timing chain, glow plugs, oil filter, air filter, fuel filter and thermostat hindi ko alam magkano inabot yung tao ko lang sa opisina inutusan ko bumili. wala pa yung bill ko from the auto parts.
Rebuild ng efi injection pump 3800 hindi nila alam i calibrate kaya pinapaltan ko lang mga seal humahalo na kasi yung oil sa diesel and the usual probs na namamatay and hard starting.
Pansin ko mas mabilis umakyat yung rpm ko ngayon compare sa before na parang hirap umarangkada tsaka sakal na sakal. Tingin ko kailangan ko na rin ipakabit yung thermostat ko since ang tagal uminit ng makina ko and below half lang inaabot pag normal temp niya ngayon compare sa halos half niya before sa temp guage.

Pajero Gurus, anybody here knows if the intercooler turbo of Gen. 2 (4D56) is the same with Gen. 3 (4M40)? if not can i replace the intercooler of Gen. 2 to Gen. 3 because i think this make the Gen. 2 a little bit faster, IMO only hehe....

as far as i know, hindi. mas maliit ata ang intercooler ng 4d56 kesa sa ginagamit sa 4m40
