Alin po dto ung versa van? parang ang dami.

Does this mean, may 2005 model pa rin neto? or mga last 90's lang eto na model?

recently ko lang nalaman that mitsu phils is still selling this...

    1. manipis ba ung kaha nya compared to other vans?
    2. umiinit daw ba talaga ung ilalim ng driver's seat? how did you get around this?
    3. are the seats foldable/removable to store large cargo, ala fx/revo?

This is based on my experience with our family's 1988 L300, 2000 Versa Van, and 1992-1996 L300 cabs.

    1. The L300 since the 80's has had spartan interiors and features (imagine the new Hi-Ace Commuter sans the "lawanit" panelling). Due to a deficiency of insulations inside to drown out the rattle noise, road noise, bumps, etc, therefore L300 might give its passengers negative impression of its build quality. In other hands, parang di matatag yung katawan kung makibangaan ka.

On the other hand, our L300 Exceed or (Delica in JDM), feels more solid since it is better appointed interior-wise. It feels better insulated than the Versa Van therefore it does not induce the same sort of negativity like the Versa Van.

    2. Both front seat passenger(s) will get free seat warming feature after long (prolonged?) continued drives. Worst case scenario is when you park the L300 out in the open sun and afterwards, decide to take it out for long drives. In our delivery vans, the passengers placed some corrugated cardboards over the seats.

    3. Only the last row is foldable. The rest of the rows CANNOT be stowed and folded. Although they can be removed with the help of a tool box and some spare time.

AFAIK, when the L300 was launched in 1987 there was only a trim available. The only luxury back then was the aircon . Rear seat passenger also had their aircon system which was attached behind the front passenger seat (felt like a mini-fridge). The last row can be folded already for added cargo but not much by today's standards. Back then it was still "pawis" steering or ARMstrong steering and roller-up windows. Alloy wheels on Firestones were already available also. They downgraded to steel rims with the Versa Van.

I think it was in the mid-nineties that they started to introduce modern creature comfort to the L300.

Firsetone S-211 ang OEM goma ng L300 when it was launched. Naks, tandang-tanda ko pa. hehehe.

The first units did not use OEM a/c. Instead, they used the third-party 'Karaoke-type' as previously described. Ganun ang a/c ng L300 namin dati. Huwag na kayong umasang aabot sa last row ang lamig.

Deluxe trim was launched shortly after. If I remember right, our unit had 'PMA' for the plate number letters. Yung Deluxe ng kabarkada ko 'PSG' ang letters ng plaka.

Power steering and diesel engines were not available for both trim levels in those days.
