To give better access to the rear. With the lower gate open, you can slide big heavy boxes into the rear. You can't do that with the Rav4 and the CRV.

hehehe. everyone is a fan of his/her car. after all, we filipinos are very proud vehicle owners.

    hey guys!!!

I saw this one at a mall. looks very tall.

the agent at that display center is not so keen on a cash discount she was pushing me to get a financing scheme ... weird.

anyway inside it looks roomy and the maroon/beige color is nice! 3rd row seems fit for 2 full sized adult.... hobbits just kidding. its seems a bit limited for adults. it only folds but its removable. I love the leather. It does have a JVC DVD capable unit, although the screen up front is soooo small at malayo sya for the passengers to view since the dash is also steeply raked. I think it was initially meant as an info display similar to an MID in the toyota innova since it does have some similar styling cues to the strada dash... oh well. Looking at the spec sheet the agent gave, it has HID already. 8-way power driver seat. auto climate control. reverse sensors.... looks comfy too since it says it has independent wishbone coils suspension... i think its main rival is the innova v, the one with all leather and captains chairs. with the options in the fuzion, i think its competitively priced since it has more options and a bigger engine compared to the innova v.

i hope to get a test drive soon... looking forward on how comfy the ride is...

We experienced the same thing when we were shopping for an Adventure unit three years ago. Pero we still bought it in cash.

Mukhang mas malaki ang commission ng agents pag financing as opposed to cash, kaya yun ang pinu-push nila.

Dealers and agents get an incentive from the bank or the financing company each time a buyer buys a car through financing. The longer the term, the bigger the incentive.

hehehe I understand naman. Although it was quite extraordinary to be pushing what they want to a customer does not speak well about their integrity

To offer something better than what the competitors offer. The market is highly competitive.

With the drop down tailgate, the lift over height of the Outlander is actually lower than my sedan's. Which is great when you have to load up luggage or groceries.

    sir *otep

being a CUV/SUV user for so many years now, tingin ko dagdag lang sa trabaho yan extra door sa ilalim. sometimes, I order people to unload from the back of my car. kinekelangan pa i-explain pa lalo na kung nasa 2nd floor ako and the car is in the basement parking lot.

best thing about 1 hatch-door auv's/suv's, open, then lift, the push or open then lift then pull. very simple.

the 2nd door means a wearable part in the future, pwede pa matapakan yan just to unload something.

Given the position of the Outlander's lower hatch, it certainly looks sturdy enough to be used as a footrest while loading/unloading cargo.

Makes me wonder why they didn't think of implementing this design on the Pajero, or the higher Adventure variants.
