I think they will no longer be developing a new L300(aka Delica Van) in Japan.
The flat nosed L300 Delica Van in Japan is now(actually since the 1999 MY) a re-badged Mazda E-series/ Bongo van.

Mitsubishi's only true "Delica" van now is the Delica Space Gear(aka L400).

Yung Mazda-based Delica, 1986 pa yata lumabas. Diyan din based ang Kia Besta at Asia Topic.

Yes, Mazda sold it here before, first it was the LWB version then later on the SWB version, but the Mazda based JDM Mitsubishi Delica version only came out after its major facelift in late-1998, thats when the real L300 was discontinued in Japan.

Since the 90's the Mazda Bongo was also rebadged as the JDM Nissan Vanette.

...and from the start, this one has been its long time twin, the Ford Econovan.

Literal facelift nga iyan. Almost all the other bits are carryover from the initial model.

Its obvious na matitira parin ang Adventure AUV pero GLX variant lang ang ititira nila this year kasabay ng Zinger sa Philippine market.I think Mitsubishi stopped developing a replacement sa L300 Delica series at gumamit nalang sila ng rebadged Mazda Bongo on OEM basis kasi matagal nang nawala yung Delica Star Wagon(Exceed in the Philippines) sa Japan at nasa China at Taiwan nalang ang production ng Star Wagon which is very popular sa countries nayan(I wish MMPC will phased out the Versa Van and replaced it with Exceed soon)

The Exceed has been out in the Phils for 8 years already.

This is the SWB which came out in 1997

This is the LWB with the weird looking front bumper launched in 1999/2000. The Hyundai Grace/H100 van is based on this.

To know how old these things really are...
The 1st gen L300 "Delica" (versa van here) was produced in Japan from 1979-86.

the 2nd gen L300 "Delica" (exceed here) replaced it in 1987.

...in late 1998, it was replaced by the Mazda Bongo based Delica van in Japan, in other countries the 2nd gen L300 was produced till 2002.

In the Philippines, both the 1st gen L300 and 2nd gen L300(exceed) are still alive. Odd though I think they just stopped selling the newer L300 exceed here, its not in Mitsubishi's new price list.
