Very important ito.

January 15th, 2013 09:37 PM #1752One time last year, after I park my car, the usual thing i do after stopping the engine is to put it on hand brake. When I start the car the next day, after I release the hand break, the brake indicator light is still on. I try to pull up again the hand break and release with the same result. I ignore it for the day but the same symptoms occur. I thought there was something wrong with the hand break, the break light indicator or the break itself.
After a few days, when I try to verify the engine oil level for maintenance check, I found out that it was below the minimum mark, so i try to add some oil to reach the maximum level. Then, I noticed that the brake light indicator is now back to normal, it lights on when the hand brake is pull up then off when released. Is the break light that is always turned ON an indicator if the engine oil is below the minimum mark?

January 16th, 2013 03:18 PM #1756Sorry. You are right, It was the brake fluid. My bad. It so happen that I filled also the engine oil but not that particular day, maybe a week after the incident. Yes, the brake fluid indeed, so it lights on when the brake fluid is low. I'll update my notes. Thanks.
