    Every morning or kung cold start(malamig pa makina) napakataas ng RPM around 2000-3000 ang reading. Pero nag nonormal naman after 10-15mins.     Mga Pre narerepair ba ang commutator ng starter motor 1 lang ang bungi d rest ok naman.
    Sayang din baka maremedyo p.

    Hi po mga sir.. Ask ko lang my lancer 95 Glxi po ako...

    scenario is: pag mainit na sya then pinatay mo ayaw na mag start need mo pa mag antay 30-45mins bago sya ulet mag start.

    nakapag palit na po ako ng starter, ignition coil den wala pa rin same scenario pa din sya ano po kaya problema nito.

    Looking for one-stop shop/mechanic recommendations to restore/mod our '96 Lancer. Preferred areas would be near Taguig/BGC, Makati, Alabang/Muntinlupa, Las Pinas/Southmall. Pero if highly recommended talaga mechanic niyo, pwede ko rin dayuhin.

    So far, the issues I can think of are:

    1. Possible engine oil leak; sabi ng mechanic sa gas station oil pan gasket daw.
    2. Grabe na lakas ng body vibration while idle. Not sure if engine mount ang problem.
    3. Want to get a comprehensive check of under chassis -- pwede ko na rin isabay replacement to performance parts
    4. Yung shifter hindi na smooth ang pasok sa gears
    5. Hilaw lamig ng aircon
    6. Power windows repair/replace motors

    Prefer ko sana one-stop na lang para isa lang kausap ko and sabay-sabay na gawa.

    Hi guys! Newbie owner po ako ng Lancer itlog. GLi 1993 po (1993 po kasi nakalagay sa CR). Pero efi po sya. Di ako sure kung power steering. Paano po ba malalaman kung power steering na sya? At isa pa po, high rpm po sya pag cold start (nasa 1500). Nagnonormal rpm naman po pero medyo matagal, kapag nasa gitna na yung temp gauge. Normal po ba ito? Thanks in advance po!

    1. look for the power steering fluid canister. you can probably google it, so you know where in the engine bay it is. normally, i'd recommend the owner's manual. but i have a feeling, you don't have it.

    2. some cars have higher idling rpm when the engine is cold. it gradually drops to sub-1000, as the engine gets hotter, just as yours does now.

    Another query po sana:
    Naka servo-by-pass na po kasi yung lancer iltog ko nung nabili ko. Sa umaga ok naman po rpm pag on aircon. Pero kapag tumagal na ay sobrang baba na ng rpm tapos patay-sindi na po ang compressor. Ano po kaya ang problem? May kinalaman po ba ang alternator dito? Kasi po 12.7v ang reading kapag naandar makina ng normal temp. 13v po naman kapag naka-revv ng 2000rpm.

    my feeling is, when the aircon is turned on, the aircon sends a signal to the idle-up circuit, to increase the idling rpm, to compensate for the increased compressor load, resulting in a "good idling rpm". when the compressor turns off, the idling rpm drops to a low number.
    whoever did your "servo by-pass" probably did not do a thorough job.

    Lancer El has manual steering(my first ever car} , gli and glxi have power steering as far as I know po
