October 4th, 2012 06:18 PM #1931these things are easily fixed by any competent mekaniko, if you don't want to do it yourself.. what i do is go to the pasay rotonda or the paco herran auto supplies and ask the tambay mechanics there to do it. (i think those in paco charge less..)

October 14th, 2012 08:58 PM #1932Hi guys, just want to ask regarding sa cvt fluid ng lancer. Planning to have it replaced sa casa kasi. Ang ginagawa ba nila dun ay drain and put the fluid or drain then flush, then if may dumi pa drain and flush uli? Ganun kasi (drain then flush) ginawa sa honda city namin at nawala yung jerk nia. Thanks guys

Have it replaced by the Casa just for security purposes. I had mine done at the casa. But, as we all know, pricey* sa casa.
*How pricey? Paki-tancha sir: Note that if you will have the casa replace your timing belt, they'll charge 9k flat (includes timing belt, camshaft/crankshaft oil seals, tensioner bearing). I made a canvas at El Dorado and ended up with around 5,500 including labor.
Anyways, the CVT is a sensitive component, considering that it CVT mechanics with rebuilding kits are hard-to-find.
Pero sa case ng CVT, there is no visual indicator if the refill is clean. Sa power steering kasi, you can drain-refill until you can see the fluid as bright red.
If your CVT is jerky, have you tried the P-R-N-D-N-R-P sequence? The jerking (on my experience) usually happens everytime I disconnect-connect the battery. Since the ECU has been reset, jerking will occur as it tries to calibrate the settings again.
I hope that helps.Last edited by 0Glitch; October 15th, 2012 at 11:50 AM.

By that time, I would be on 60-62k kms.
Pero dahil nga madami ako reasons for not going to casa, i'm doing it just below 65k kms.

1. Nag-change ka ba ng fluid before?
2. Usually yan bumubula na pag pangit na fluid.
Curious lang bro. Ano kwento nyang power steering mo? Thanks.
