Lancer GLS/GLX CVT 1.6 2009 Owner post naman dito

Hi Everyone,

After a few days of reading from page 1 - 110, now I'm sure; we're getting a Mitsubishi Lancer. Here are some of the things that convinced me to own one:

1. Price - P648,000 (with the discount)
2. Looks - you'll never go out of style... May it be you going to the gym, going out with friends or having a romantic dinner with your better half; the car will definitely fit... Sporty but Elegant...
3. Engine - Bullet proof (never read any problem with the engine), Fast (up to 200+KM/H), and easy and not too expensive to maintain
4. Safety - Air Bags, Side impact Beams, Disc Brake on all for wheels...
5. Space - Bigger is always better...
6. Most if not all Mitsubishi Lancer Owners are kind, nice, helpful, and good looking... hehehe...

One benefit it has compared to newer cars, the parts are in most places already and really, feature-wise, it's bang for your buck.

*Col_em: the manual includes 'ABS' but I don't see the light turn-on on my GLS' indicators, so probably, no ABS. but yes it has 2 airbags driver and front passenger, disc brakes, impact beams, etc etc.

Sa wakas! Nakuha ko na si Toothless after nung accident. Dinala ko nung monday, natapos ngayon. Kudos to Direct Link and DMC Valle Verde! Ang ayos nila kausap. I'm now convinced to renew my insurance with Direct Link and have my car serviced at DMC Valle Verde. :D

sir yung Lancer GLX mayroon po siya Front Dual SRS Airbags. wala po siyang abs.

sa mga owners ng lancer na may experience na issue on suspension bka may advice kayo, mine is running at 33T mileage na but lately (about 5-months na) been hearing some noise everytime i go down from humps or small road bumps at slow speed (5~8kph) eh may tunog (na parang kagaya ng tools sa loob ng toolbox na na naalog) sa likod na shocks. Pinaayos ko sa casa humina lang tunog pero di nawala then lately mas dinig na ulit.

Is it a common issue on suspension in cedias? or do I need to have it checked to another casa. Thanks sa advice mga boss.

Not sure kung same tayo ng naeexperience, yung lancer din namin may crank/clunk na sound pag sa humps or lubak. yung sound nya galing sa likod sa passenger side. Minsan nung nagpa-carwash ako nawala yung sound... pero ngayon meron ulit... may time naman na humihina ang sound kahit wala ako ginagawa... try ko ipacheck sa casa pag may time ako...

Oh no! Im experiencing the same noise coming from the back. Yeah it does sound like a toolbox rattling every time i go down from a hump or some uneven road. Should i stop using my car and have it fixed?
Im actually planning on doing my 20k pms this week. Do you think its something they can check and fix?

BTW guys, san ba yung may mura na labor for 20k pms. Yung Diamond kasi dito sa North Fairview 3.5k yung sabi sakin na labor.

I'm doing my own PMS nowadays...

Air Filter - 300
~250-300 - oil filter
Spark Plugs - 600 set
Prestone Coolant - 180 to 200.
Engine Oil - 2k to 3k budget.

Soon, I'm about to change my CVT oil, the only options I have is ENEOS CVT or the OEM from Mitsu.

BTW guys, san ba yung may mura na labor for 20k pms. Yung Diamond kasi dito sa North Fairview 3.5k yung sabi sakin na labor.

Bro, ganun talaga ang PMS labor cost pag heavy PMS. If you want, para makamura ka, ikaw na bumili ng mga parts. Sa el dorado mas mura ng unti. Yung coolant, hindi ako bumili nun nung 20k pms ko. sa DMC Valle verde, libre na nila yun (basta hindi aabutin ng 1 litro.) Pwede mo siguro ipaservice sa Citimotors since mas mura yung labor dun pero kailangan, tutukan mo yung gagawa nung sa kotse mo. Dami horror stories ng Citimotors with regards to After sales.
