May 9th, 2011 04:35 PM #1591Great news! :D
Last time i went for the recommended cleaning thing, my aircon became noisy. Went back 2 - 3 times to get that fixed. So...I won't do the cleaning thing ever again.

Yeah, but I'll have to wait 'til thursday/friday muna.
If that's the case, then tama ang sinasabi nung nakausap ko sa Mit-Air (not the AVP). Pag hindi mo sinabi sa PMS mo, di nila gagalawin yan. Scary stuff but it's now true. In fact, I don't see it in the PMS Checklist.

I'll share a couple of Do's and Don'ts that I know about our A/C System.
1. The A/C system should be running at least 5 minutes a day.
2. Before turning off the A/C, make sure you run with the blower only in #4 speed, to make sure all the coldness has gone. The explanation is, you extend the life of the reciever/drier unit and prevent the growth of molds in the system.
3. Check the gap of the clutch plate in the front part of the compressor, it should be .015 to .040 in the feeler gauge. In our lancers, it's around .019.
4. Don't turn on the A/C whilst running fast, unless it was already switched on from the start.
Yan ang naalala ko so far.

mga sirs.... i know what type of gas you put in your cedia is a preference... im seeing mostly Petron and Shell... will you really see the diffence if you load a none big three gas? Like for example Flying V?... will this impact your car in the long run? If Mileage is the same when using Shell/Petron vs Flying V, does it mean your good and should not change anymore?
Many thanks...

May 10th, 2011 03:21 AM #1598There's this sound when I turn on the aircon. Like something's pressuring up. It was normal. It was traced to an incorrect expansion valve placed in my car. Pang L300 ang nilagay. Sabi ko nga sa SA. Ang layo naman ng itsura ng L300 sa Lancer. Anyways, its normal now. That was last 30k km checkup. My car now is already at 94k km. From 30k to 94k, I didn't clean my aircon. Everything is fine naman.
Its things like that we have to watch out for.

I use PTT unleaded for like 3 years now. No issues. Previously, I used Caltex Silver, la rin issues. Same FC recorded. Just gas up unleaded. So you save up $$$

That's not a nice mistake. For sure nangatwiran pa yan sa iyo. Like i've said, we don't see what they're doing, and that is what makes me to not trust the process.
*hhh: I've used XCS since day 1, namimili lang ako talaga ng gas station na malinis. I've seen/heard horror stories na may tubig ang gas na nailagay, madumi ang tank nila, at madami pang iba. Just stick to what you feel is right. I follow the manual (95RON), istan uses ptt, others use shell. It doesn't matter. If you feel Flying V or Total works good on you, go ahead

Ampogi na ng tsikot website. Heheh.
And I Highly Recommend the Crew of --- Diamond Motors C5, for replacing my compressor.
Ang dali nila kausap.
So bago na compressor ko. Ang saya! Yey! Heheh. By the way, I'm seeing 2 graymica lancers around Greenwoods subdivision cainta, mga letter P ang plate eh, so bagong bago.
